25.01.2022 Connect Community + Kids Program matches mentors (who are volunteers) with disadvantaged children so they can experience caring relationships and take part in the kinds of activities other children take for granted. Connect Community + Kids is one of the newer charities on the Coast, but is fast gaining momentum. It has 48 active mentors working with local disadvantaged children and the goal is to reach 300 matches. Becoming a mentor with Connect Community + Kds involves a commitment of two hours per fortnight for a period of 12 months. Reference: My Weekly Preview, Issue 613, July 24, 2020. 20.01.2022 Time to start thinking ..... The next round of Bursary applications close soon. Current OR past students of Golden Beach State School who are disadvantaged by having a disability, or a parent with a disability, maybe eligible for a bursary of $500. Parent's can apply on behalf of their child or on the recommendation of the school Principal. Our website is temporarily down at the moment for you to be able to access an application form directly from there. ... However you can message us of FB and supply your email address and we will send you a form direct . OR you can wait until the Golden Beach State School office re-opens after the holidays. Time to start thinking.....

19.01.2022 Hurry, hurry, it is not too late to book or join a Trivia table this Friday night, OCTOBER 13. You will also have the chance to win a Slow Cooker package which includes 4 Ingredients The Easiest Slow Cooker Book ever! The book lives up to its title and it has some great recipes. Do hope you will join us at this fundraiser for students with disabilities.

12.01.2022 The Annual General Meeting will be held at Golden Beach State School on Wednesday 27 November, 2019, at 4pm. All positions are declared vacant and nominations for President, Secretary and Treasurer are being called for. Please ensure that you have renewed your membership before the AGM. It is not too early to think about applying for the next round of bursaries.

On Friday you will have the opportunity to win a $150 voucher from Why Not Fashion in Golden Beach. Special thanks to Why Not Fashion who donate every year to our fundraiser for students with disabilities.

05.01.2022 A BIG thank you to all our supporters. The 2017 Trivia Night fundraiser was once again a successful night. Everyone had loads of laughs while raising funds for bursaries for students with disabilities. We have had the same committed team who have put on the Trivia night for the past 6 years; and equally we have had many of the same people who return year after year. The photos tell it all. Once again THANK YOU.
