20.01.2022 Tying your horse up before or after a ride out is beneficial for a couple of reasons. 1. Why would you want to rush home when instead of being let go and fed, you get tied up; 2. It teaches your horse patience, to rest and stand; 3. If your horse is a little antsy while you're saddling up, leave him tied up for a bit till he has made himself tired and is calmly standing. Make sure your halter is firm under the gullet and you tie hard, high and short so legs can't get stuck ov...er the top. (Not our flashest halter but still doing the job) #teamequimec #AriatAustralia See more

19.01.2022 Final pics It makes life a lot easier for a horse if they can have confidence in their people. Horses do really well with black-and-white, we got a lot of that down pat this weekend! Hats off to one and all, you guys did great #teamequimec #AriatAustralia

19.01.2022 Here's an exercise you can try at home ( without even having a horse)... #AriatAustralia #teamequimec

19.01.2022 What's to do with your horse in a cyclone: (This is my personal opinion, not legally binding advice. It's worked for me for about 50yrs) If your horse is usually in a paddock, and it's a safe area, free of debris, leave him there. He knows the fence lines and the best spot for getting out of the weather. If he's not spent much time in a stall or stable and you go putting him there through a cyclone, all the different sounds and extra noise will freak him out more. If he usua...lly wears a rug, leave the rug on him, it will help protect him from rain scald. #horses See more

18.01.2022 The boys... #nofilter on the green

16.01.2022 Born in the same year, these 2 have grown up together. #besties

15.01.2022 Horses are a great stress diffuser. Well mostly... It takes a solidly trained, good natured horse to really get the benefit of stress relief from being with them. If your horse is a work in progress, it usually take 3 or 4 training rides per week (That's consistent training, not swapping out different training ideas every few days) for a couple of months in order to make real progress. Take the challenge and make the commitment for yourself and your horse!

15.01.2022 Nothing like the freedom of riding on a loose rein...

12.01.2022 The Challenge! Mech Cow pics still to come... We provided the instruction, the lessons, the guidance, mechanical cow and even the tea, coffee and water. 09.01.2022 Hungry little thing, we think it's a girl Thanks to Hayden and Kayden for the video!

08.01.2022 Breeding and training your own horses to sell is a bit like quilting. If we had to charge for the hours, dedication, feed and expertise that goes into each and every one of them, they would be valued at around $40,000... Still if you love what you doing, you'll never work a day in your life

08.01.2022 Master a technique at the walk before doing it at the trot. Master it at the trot before doing it at the canter. Sounds like common sense but sometimes common sense is not that common...

08.01.2022 Peaches and Jarrah having a little handling from JCU Students Brenton and Sophia (under close supervision from Greg) Our foals will have a couple of weeks training then it's back out in the 3000 acre paddock to grow and be horses for another few months. Makes for quiet horses without the ignorance. Maverick and Mali next! #teamequimec #AriatAustralia

06.01.2022 1kg donut!!! Kenilworth Country Bakery

06.01.2022 It's Challenge Clinic weekend!!!! We've covered so much ground already, getting the foundations right for tomorrow patterns n mechanical cow fun

06.01.2022 And handling 1 of our newest littlies...

05.01.2022 To help your horse flatten out and relax in the canter, find a safe place and let those reins go. A nice arena, a good sandy long creek, you can still steer but if you can let the reins go and let them run til they slow down themselves, you will find your horse has a much more relaxed, smoother gait. You may need to do it every day for a week, but once your horse has 'run out' you'll find he won't want to run... This is also a fix for horses that 'climb' in the canter. #AriatAustralia #teamequimec

05.01.2022 Getting big and strong

04.01.2022 In day's gone by, a name represented your job, kinda what you did. Next time you're naming a horse, have a think about what you would like him/her to do before you name him Rebel, Tricksta or Psycho...

03.01.2022 Just the 1 spot left now... there's still time! 100% money back guarantee you'll have a ton of fun, refresh or learn new tools to keep your horse relaxed in training and with his mind on the job at a competition and make a whole lot of progress with your horse!

02.01.2022 Working the mechanical cow, getting it right is more important than getting it fast... final pics of the Challenge Clinic! We provided the instruction, the lessons, the guidance, mechanical cow and even the tea, coffee and water. BUT you brought an open mind, super support for others and the amazing grounds (thank you Jase and Annie!) and THAT'S what made it totally awesome!
