BNB is still only at about 25% of our equipment (members are in the process of returning what they leased and new equipment is in transit) but 25% is still heaps better than 0%. 07.01.2022 BNB v3.5 is nearly here! This week saw the arrival of 3400kg of Samtek equipment including 6 combo racks for bench pressing, 19 stainless steel competition barb...ells and 1100kg in competition plates. My goal for BNB v3.5 is to allow every lifter in Powerlifting Australia competitions to warm up up for squat & bench press using a Samtek combo rack and ensure that every bar used for squat, bench press and deadlift are the exact same as we use on the competition platform. BNB has committed to hosting a massive 8 comps over the next 6 months to ensure everyone gets an adequate opportunity to compete in powerlifting or strongman: July 11: BNB Brisbane Open & Pacific Invitational Powerlifting Competition Aug 22: BNB Powerlifting Competition (Aug) Sep 12: BNB Strongman competition (Round 2) Sep 25-27: Australian Junior & Masters Championships Oct 10: BNB Powerlifting competition (Boss Babes) Nov 7: BNB Powerlifting competition (Nov) Dec 5: BNB Powerlifting competition (Dec) Dec 12: BNB Strongman competition (Round 3) Dec 19: BNB YOLO PBs A big thanks to everyone who helped assemble the combo racks on Fri and moved equipment around this morning. A very special mention to Owie, Madman, Josh, Nugget & Iain who have worked tirelessly the past few Saturdays to help me redo the entire gym flooring at BNB. All up, well over 500m2 of gym tiles have been ripped up and laid down again in a superior layout to ensure better floor coverage. At this stage I'd say BNB v3.5 is 80% completed with just a few more bits & pieces yet to arrive and a some final finishing touches to go.
