22.01.2022 Sunrise Dreaming - Approx Size = 133cm x 66cm x 4cm - $3300 Life is often a challenge; the sunrise brings a new day and new hope. The beautiful morning sky is there to remind us all of the bigger picture, that life is a gift, and that we all must embrace the moment; look after ourselves and others. Looking optimistically to the future is a human trait; and is needed in these times of despair and unprecedented change. My painting symbolically represents the dawn, the colours are cheerful and set the scene for a brighter future that is surely to come for all.

19.01.2022 Waterhole Dreaming_1 This Particular Piece was a Commission I picked up from Aloonah Market, I was give the order of the beautiful animals and to use bright colours to brighten up ones day My painting depicts the typical Australian bush waterholes and creeks, it’s a time when the emu and tiger are still a common sight in Tasmania. The kookaburra; cockatoo, magpie, king parrots and Eastern Rosella are also shown, along with platypus, wombat, echidna, goanna, turtle, fish ...and snake, completing the colourful Australian bush scene. The waving blue bands at the top of my painting represent the sky and the circular orange and yellow area represents the sun. 11.01.2022 Water Holes_1 - 61cm x 51cm x 1.8cm - $690 Rain has fallen in the Australian outback, replenishing the water holes and billabongs; in a never ending cycle of drought & flood. The central areas of my painting utilise shades of blue to represent the rain, while the outer areas utilise colours that represent the earth.

10.01.2022 Killiecrankie Dreaming_1 Acrylic Paint, Ready to hang 75.5cm (W) x 60cm (H) x 1.8cm (D)... This painting is Inspired by my visit to Flinders Island, Tasmania, and my fruitless attempt to find the elusive so called killiecrankie diamonds. It is also a reminder of the main reason for my trip to the island, my pilgrimage to Wybalenna; to show respect, and to view first hand the final resting place of many of our Aboriginal Elders/Ancestors, The restored Chapel, the Cemetery and remnants of the demolished accommodation areas at Wybalenna were all emotional places to visit, and I could feel the presence of our ancestors during my visit there. The central area of my painting represents Flinders Island/Wybalenna; it forms the shape of a ships steering wheel (helm); the outer central area represents the multi-coloured diamonds (topaz) that I dreamed of finding; and beyond that; is a circular area of diamonds one for each of the Tasmanian Aboriginal Nations, the diamonds are deposited there by constant erosion and water flow from the Killiecrankie Mountain to the sea that separates Flinders Island from the Tasmanian mainland. The outer circles on my painting represent the Nine Tasmanian Aboriginal Nations, and the painting perimeter depicts the oceans that surround Tasmania. 10.01.2022 I didn’t know where to stop painting the underneath, so I just painted the lot! Just a couple more thousand dots and the finished ‘Wombat Dreaming UooUoo’ will be unveiled - later this afternoon! The UooUoo is a Sculpture organised by the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. I developed the plan which was sent in to the committee. The whole process from receiving the white sculpture to the finished product you see here, took me around 4 weeks to complete and consists of thousands upon thousands of dots - Anyone want to count?
