25.01.2022 Another week has gone by. I hope everyone is staying well. Not many photos this week, another wet Tuesday at Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens, Tanawha. https://www.friendsofmaroochybotanicgardens.org.au/

25.01.2022 A Christian friend sent this onto me. I can relate to this message, can you. Our Message (www.ourmessage.com.au) has been designed to help those who are searching for answers, are you?

20.01.2022 Happy New Year for 2020!

18.01.2022 It was a wet morning last Tuesday at Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens which gave me an opportunity to photography some flowers with rain drops which I turned to Digital Photo Art. https://www.friendsofmaroochybotanicgardens.org.au/

18.01.2022 How do we slow down time? As I get older somehow time seems to get faster. Some photos from the last two weeks Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanical Gardens, Tanawha.

17.01.2022 Wet again last Tuesday. I notice the Sunny Coast Airport has logged about 640mm so far this month, about 25% above the previous record February (1999), so a gre...at start to the year. I think this month has been the wettest I can remember in the gardens, over my volunteering time at least. Last Tuesday we managed to get some work underway before Smoko in-between showers, but after that it was pretty much a washout! However Greg managed to get some lovely shots for you to enjoy. He even managed to grab an umbrella from Judy to keep his cameras dry. Great dedication to his art! At least we now know where his priorities lie. As always, thanks for sharing Greg. I love that shot of the volunteers at Smoko, enjoying a break while the rain pours down! See more

15.01.2022 Every Tuesday my wife & I volunteer to document what's happening at Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens at Tanawha. This week we were blessed to be able ...to watch 3 Richmond Birdwing Butterflies. These butterfly's lay their eggs on only one vine which has suffered from extensive clearing. There is another vine which is similar, it is the Dutchman's Pipe vine which is poisonous to the caterpillars. https://www.friendsofmaroochybotanicgardens.org.au/ See more

13.01.2022 Another great mix of beautiful photos from Greg taken in the gardens last Tuesday. And there has been another 200mm of rain there since then. How wonderful!

13.01.2022 I've now been taking photos at Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens (https://www.friendsofmaroochybotanicgardens.org.au/ ) every Tuesday for just over 4 y...ears and I'm still finding new items of interest. Like the Native Hibiscus with the bright yellow flower. This shrub has been in this location all that time but it's not until it flowers that it get noticed. Sounds like life doesn't it. Enjoy! 09.01.2022 Some more photos from a visitor to the gardens last Tuesday. I love that shot of the Mt Coolum Casuarina - I have not seen them in flower before. Nice to know we have some endangered species in the collection at the gardens. Thanks for sharing your lovely photos Greg .

09.01.2022 Here's a few photos from Tuesday's walk at Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens at Tanawha. A good place to visit, plenty of space to keep your distance and lots of fresh air. https://www.friendsofmaroochybotanicgardens.org.au/ Stay safe & well.

09.01.2022 Terrific! Greg is catching up with his (usual) weekly photos of the gardens. Great to keep up with what is flowering and what else is looking good. Here are a f...ew from late September and early October. More coming soon! Even the model from the planned Richmond Birdwing has grown, with the addition of small (to scale) representations of the artwork on top of many posts showing the prismatic coloured glass artwork. Thanks for sharing Greg, many of us look forward to your photos each week.

08.01.2022 Here's the latest lot of photos from Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens at Tanawha. My role is the Volunteer Photographer. Web site address for the gardens is: https://www.friendsofmaroochybotanicgardens.org.au/

08.01.2022 Greg has been visiting the gardens recently, and took these lovely photos. Some flora, some fauna, the 'new' frog pond and even some volunteers who are allowed ...back into the gardens in (very) small groups to get things done. Apologies Greg, I did not successfully post photos from last week, but I had another try today and won! So we get to see over 20 photos from both visits. Thanks very much for establishing our regular photographic record of life in the gardens, and for sharing your memorable photos. See more

NOW!) on Noosa FM 101.3 radio show. Have a listen to All Talk with Wendyoh, former journalist at the SCD Wendy O'Hanlon, from 9am to noon. On her show will be Sunshine Coast living legend, Ted Robinson, a retired chief photographer of the Sunshine Coast Daily, a Vietnam vet, a life-time lifesaver and mentor to many and an inspiration to all. She will chat with Ted about the demise of the print editions of so many newspapers around the country - in particular The Sunshine Coast Daily, as print editions end this month. Wendy started at The Sunshine Coast Daily as a 4th-year journalism cadet in 1982 at the time "Teddles" was chief photographer. The Sunshine Coast Daily was well loved, mostly, and a pivotal part of the Coastal community as were all the people that worked there - as Wendy says, 'we did serious stuff." "We were a family and we had so much fun in the 80s and 90s." Wendy is looking forward to chatting with Ted who always has a laugh in his voice and she will probably will just descend in to un-ending laughter and have to push the cough button! 03.01.2022 Adjoining the Maroochy Regional Bushland Botanic Gardens is the Tanawha Tall Gums Environmental Reserve. Some of the Friends were taken on a walk through this reserve by Brendan Stephan from Natural Bushland Ecology. Very informative!

02.01.2022 Greg was in the gardens on a Thursday about 10 days ago, so we get some great shots of the Thursday workers. Great to see them in action and on the Friends Face...book. Thanks for sharing these, Greg. Also today was our BushCare Day, and we had ten on the job, one of our biggest BushCare days ever! And it was great to have Andrea back working among us - just like the old days! I should have taken my camera (slap on the forehead). See more

01.01.2022 This week's photos from Greg include interesting flora studies (especially that 'bush tucker' pine fruit and some stinkhorns) and a species loved by youngsters ...of several generations back (mothers hated those blue tongues!), workers hard at it completing the short concrete path, weeding and composting, and cleaning up after school holiday fun, and a delightful spider shot. The light showers we had Tuesday were an introduction to the next 48 hours - we have had about 80mm of rain at home since then, and I think the gardens may have received about 100mm. So maybe we are getting a wet season after all, just later than usual. Hope it keeps up - better than hot and dry! See more
