25.01.2022 Really looking forward to this! Great to see an organisation such as Karitane looking to improve outcomes for children and families by challenging they way they work.

21.01.2022 These two photos demonstrate why I think working with men in their role as Dads is so powerful. Point the group in the right direction and off they go. I especially like the concept of Dad as 'coach'. It's something they really can identify with. Dads groups rock. The first Dad's stuff group has gone really well. Another week to go but I'm already getting the next (evening) group together.

18.01.2022 Guess what the pink tags mean in Ballina library? They are all the books in relation to parenting. There is so much stuff out there on how to be a parent it does your head in. While books are great and we do need to look at theories and expert opinions, I believe intuition, guts, and nature go a long way. Some people are more 'natural' parents but we can all do it and we all have the responsibility to be the best we can for our children and family. And this is only a small library. Interesting they were the only section highlighted and in a very accessible position. Go libraries!

04.01.2022 Dad's Stuff! It's on again. An evening course and we are already half way through. Already have queries about the next one. Very enjoyable and heartening to work with these dads. Currently preparing to sit on a Father Inclusive Practice panel at a Sydney Conference in September and designing a new program for a Lismore based Indigenous Men's organisation. Still working with the youth on their Jam Nights and about to start working with a dads and kids drum workshop. Phew, getting there!

02.01.2022 Things are hotting up here for me and Men, Fathers & Change. The program which I've designed and written for Family Support Network, Lismore, kicks off next Monday afternoon with at least 8 dads on the books.....so far. So proud to have got this designed, promoted and up and running. Next, an evening group. Still so many Dads out there who are keen. I have also had a very positive meeting with the CEO of a mega large QLD based NGO involved with the NDIS, among many other things, which should bear fruit to help Dads in the local community here in the Ballina region. Watch this space. Also met with the Director of a very established Community Pre School and Early Intervention Centre in the Casino area who want to utilise MF & C's expertise to help the Dads up there. It's all go...... I'll keep you posted. Cheers, Greg.
