25.01.2022 Just one of the incredible poems in the Rhyming Verse of Denis Kevans book.

24.01.2022 Well, right now, we'd be in the middle of the Rhyming Verse of Denis Kevans book launch at the National Folk Festival. Never mind. You can still buy the book at www.gregorynorth.com.au/ Happy Easter.

24.01.2022 It's all go in the shed at Matilda Country Tourist Park. Plenty of nomads coming through.

23.01.2022 Margaret Fagan and Bob Fagan closing the book launch of the "Rhyming Verse of Denis Kevans" at the Gaelic Club in Sydney yesterday with their moving rendition o...f Denis' song Monuments. Wait for their beautiful harmonies at the end. Heartfelt thanks to the audience and to all the performers for making it a memorable launch. Most of all to Gregory North, Jefferson Lee and Margaret Walters who worked tirelessly to bring it all together. Also, thanks to Eleny for the clip. For more details, Greg has written a synopsis of the performances in the event post under Events - thanks Greg. Sophia

14.01.2022 Well, it was a top afternoon of poetry and song. Thanks to Pastor Ray Minniecon for acknowledgment of country and Irish connections; Denis Rice with "Mend the Torn Air" and "Passing Miists"; the combination of Sydney Trade Union and Solidarity Choirs with 4 wonderfully presented songs including Denis Kevans and Sonia Bennett's "Wollemi Pine" song; Bluey Quilty MA with "Why"; Tug Dumbly with a few of his own poems; Amalina shared her memories of Denis and a poem of her own; Ru...ss Hermann with "Trains of Treasure"; Toby Zoates with "You Beggars of Australia"; Jefferson Lee read "The Slouch of Vietnam"; I shared "The Greatest Kick of All", "Ah, Brother, Have You Any Sacred Sites?" and "When Monkeys Rode the Greyhounds Round the Track at Harold Park" and we went out on a high with the Fagans singing "Roar of the Crowd", "City of Green", "Space on the Stone" and "Monuments". Thanks to The Gaelic Club and sound man Cameron Mather. See more
