25.01.2022 Here are some tips for moving with your pet... 1. Always update your microchip/registration details 2.Don't think new house= new dog/cat bed, Keep things familiar for them as they settle in. 3. Do your research and be prepared! find your local vet, dog park, pet supply store prior to your move date 4.Try to find a sitter for the day, keeping them away from all of the commotion can help reduce anxiety... 5.Give your cat time to adjust to the new environment, a few weeks if possible before letting them outside to explore, also introduce them to the outside slowly, half an hour before meal time so they will come back to feed, extending the time as they become more comfortable. 6.Fill your yard or home with treats and toys to distract them. 7.For fish go to your local aquarium and ask for some plastic bags to make transporting them easier, make sure you fill them with their tank water and if possible have a smaller tank ready to house them until your able to set everything up. 8.Have an a bag packed for them too, keep food,treats, medications, toys, bowls, grooming brush, poop bags, leash etc all easily accessible. last thing you want is to have to search through 50 boxes for 1 thing. 9.Routine is important to our pets so try to keep things in order for them such as feeding times and so on. 10.Last but not least try to take some time out to just sit or explore with them, this is a scary new world for them so they need to know your there with them. 23.01.2022 The weather may be cooling down but the removals industry isn't, remember to book your removalist at least a few weeks in advance, also do your research as we have had so many calls where people have been left in the lurch when the removalist they have hired hasn't turned up, always check the reviews and know who your dealing with!

03.01.2022 A FEW TIPS FOR MOVING Before dismantling computers and electronics take a photo, reassembling will be so much easier Keep zip lock bags handy, they will be great for nuts, bolts and any other bits and pieces Never pack items inside cupboards and drawers, adding extra weight to these items can cause a lot of damage to your furniture and your removalist. Try and keep your boxes to 20 kilos and under, remember they are removalists not super heroes.... Label everything, this will make it easier to prioritise when unpacking Always use moving boxes not supermarket boxes, moving boxes are designed to hold the weight Always pack dinner plates vertically and wrap them in butcher paper, this will help avoid breakages. 02.01.2022 As removalists that have been in this line of work for a lot of years we get to meet people from all walks of life but 1 thing they all have in common is they all want to save a buck, unfortunately in this industry there are a lot of fly by night businesses that will charge very low rates and at the same time they do give you a low level service, now im not saying we are the only decent removalist company available, there are quite a few but people need to understand that you... do get what you pay for! We have had a number of people call begging for us to move them last minute as their "cheap removalists" have not turned up, we have also had people tell us horror stories of removalists holding on to their belongings and asking for more money, always check the reviews of your removalist, make sure they have the proper equipment, check their ABN to make sure they are a legally operating business and make sure they do have insurance. Moving doesnt always have to turn into a nightmare! See more
