25.01.2022 Taking a management team away up the coast for a 2 day leadership team development workshop. Great to spend some time on the what and how of functioning as an effective leadership team and tracking progress through engagement survey results. Nice spot to do it despite the rain.

22.01.2022 Are you sitting back waiting for things to be different in 2021? I understand if you are. 2020 brought so many things that swept us up with crazy momentum outside of our control. So what happens? Sometimes we get trapped in a passive mode of waiting for things to be better and feeling resentful when they are not. This usually happens when we have given up our power to someone/something else.... http://gregdean.com.au/how-not-to-be-a-passenger-in-2021/

16.01.2022 Christmas Cheer or Christmas Fear? Are you counting down the days with gleeful anticipation or an impending sense of dread? Do you find yourself playing out the same family dynamic year after year? Try this one simple but powerful technique. Spending time with family (if you are able to in this crazy year) can be a source of both joy and connection, but for some, also an emotionally stressful time. Family dynamics are strong and well entrenched and being back with extended fa...mily can bring about historical gripes, concerns, inequities and unresolved conflicts. Add alcohol into the mix and this is usually magnified. To have a more positive experience this festive season, try to: ASSUME POSITIVE INTENT No matter, who says what and how they say it, assume their intent was positive. Easier said than done perhaps, particularly when your brain is screaming for revenge! If you can deliberately assume positive intent and give the other person the benefit of the doubt (even if what they say seems hurtful), you will bypass the usual dynamic and be less reactive. Try it out and bring on more of the festive cheer!

12.01.2022 I am excited to share some good news. One of my challenges for late 2020 was to create a website that represents the leadership and wellbeing work I do. The plan is for this to sit along side the great stuff we do at YES Psychology & Consulting. This year I have launched it! https://gregdean.com.au/... Its not perfect and I had to settle for a ".com.au" as there is a stand up comedian called Greg Dean in America that already had the ".com" domain. Please check it out if you get a chance. I would love any thoughts or feedback you have. Feel free to sign up for my newsletter while you are there ;-)

07.01.2022 Good to have an office day. Especially when it comes with almond croissants!

06.01.2022 This is how I started the first working day of 2021 - with one of my workshops helping teams RESET, RE-ENGAGE and RE-ENERGISE. So important to take deliberate steps to making 2021 the year you want it to be, rather than just hoping things will be different. Reach out if you want to do something similar for your team.

04.01.2022 Contagious is probably not a word you want to hear right now, but contagion can also be positive. Every deliberate action you take towards improving yourself, your energy and wellbeing, will have a ripple effect; through your family, your friends and your workplace. Each positive step you take makes it easier for them to take the step they need to take. You only have to take responsibility for your own steps....and they don't have to be large.

02.01.2022 Have you felt it yet? The 2021 jitters? For some of you it may be a slight sense of unease at the back of your mind. For others, it may be more like a blaring alarm. It typically occurs at the start of the year as a result of the (unresolved) hangover of the previous year. And what a hangover 2020 delivered!!... http://gregdean.com.au/how-to-start-2021-right/
