24.01.2022 Grenfell racecourse ready for the 2019 races. Bring it on. First race at 1.30 pm.

21.01.2022 Good nominations for our race meeting this Saturday 28th September. Just a couple of extra incentives for our race day. The Tab have donated 2 hospitality packages for Villiers stakes day at Randwick on Saturday 14th December 2019. The package includes entry to the racecourse and the new TAB Box including food and beverages for 2 people. Each package is valued at $500 and will be raffled on the race day with 2 prizes drawn for 2 lucky people. Tickets will be $5 each and will only be sold on Raceday. We also have a lucky book prize with a nights accomodation for 2 to Rydges in Parramatta which has been kindly donated by Rydges in Parramatta. Thanks to the TAB and Rydges

Horses that finish last in Each race will receive a bag of chaff donated by Eugowra Chaff Mill. Horses that finish 4 of each race will receive produce from Grenfell Commodities as will the best presented horse in each race. Thanks to these 2 long term sponsors

17.01.2022 $48,077 FOR GRENFELL RACECOURSE In the middle of Melbourne Cup week, it’s both fitting and incredibly exciting to join members of the Grenfell Picnic Rac...es, the Grenfell Racecourse Trust, the Grenfell Jockey Club and members of the Grenfell community to announce much-needed funding for upgrades to the Grenfell Racecourse! You might recall that I visited on January 24 this year - specifically to inspect the facility, have a chat to the users groups, and have good look-see at what I needed to fight for. At 1.30pm that day, it was about 45 degrees . Over the course of more than an hour, we sweltered together and planned a way forward around 2019 funding opportunities and came away determined to make something amazing happen! And so with great joy, I returned today with a special announcement that the venue was receiving $48,077 funding for a number of upgrades including: Construct a gable shed Upgrade the kitchen facilities Install a water pump The funding was secured through the NSW Government Crown Reserves Infrastructure Fund. The current kitchen is in a poor state, while the grounds also lack the ability to irrigate the race track. By completing these upgrades, the Racecourse will become a much more desirable venue and will be able to hold larger functions - providing a significant boost to Grenfell. Well done and congratulations to all groups who pulled together and submitted a fantastic application! The hard work this year has paid off, and I know it’s just the start of the improvements we want for this much-loved venue.
