24.01.2022 Late yesterday afternoon Gresford Brigade along with Vacy Brigade were called to a lightning strike at Allynbrook. In difficult terrain with high temperatures and strong winds the Brigades battled to bring the resulting fire under control around 9.30 pm. Well done team.

21.01.2022 The NSW RFS Gresford Brigade will be joining other local brigades to conduct a hazard reduction this Wednesday 2nd September at Eaglereach Escarpment 47 Hectares of bushland off Moonabung road, Eaglereach Wilderness Resort West of Vacy, commencing at approx 10am. Smoke and fire activity may visible from the surrounding area during and after the hazard reduction operation On going patrols of the burn will be conducted as required.

12.01.2022 Gresford Rural Fire Brigade is still operating 24/7! The brigade has ceased training and all other non-emergency roles. We are limiting crews to 4 persons per truck. All crew members must sanitize hands before responding.... A crew leader will assess the situation before other crew members leave the truck. Crews will wear gloves and P2 mask when necessary. All high risk members or members showing any symptoms are not to attend the station for callouts. We ask that members of the public please notify brigade on arrival, if there is any forced self-isolation, or suspected COVID-19 conditions on scene. Regards, Rick Cannon Gresford Brigade Captain

03.01.2022 Gresford Brigade would like to extend a huge thank you to the Gresford Garage & Rural for their support during 2019/2020 fire season. Gresford Garage and Rural provided a 24hour a day onsite fuel solution at the Keppies Road and Mt Royal Fire. Today, Captain Rick Cannon and Neville Lawrence presented them with a certificate of appreciation on behalf of the Gresford Brigade.
