25.01.2022 Great news and a huge boost for our local community who have been campaigning to #savebartonpark and keep it accessible to the public. Follow the link below, check out Council's master plan for the area and let them know what you think.

24.01.2022 Let this sink in - there are more people looking for work than there are jobs.

22.01.2022 A local community group is campaigning to stop Gardiner Park, a local heritage park, being converted to a synthetic soccer field. Please sign the petition below to support this group to save the park, prevent another urban heat island and stop installation of carcinogenic materials. https://www.communityrun.org//banksia-s-gardiner-park-does

20.01.2022 Solidarity with this family and all people who experience violent over-policing. The family wants the officer responsible for this to be charged. If we don’t listed to people who experience racism then we are allowing systemic racism to continue.

17.01.2022 It’s very important for the whole of Botany Bay that the cruise ship terminal does not go ahead. This win is great news for all Bayside residents!

12.01.2022 Harrowing and heart warming stories from three Greens Mayors who were at the epicentre of the NSW bushfires:

09.01.2022 Huge crowds at the #Sydney Town Hall rally as #AustraliaisBurning, to protest against #climatechange denial and the governments inadequate response to the #fires. Crowds chanting ‘#Scomo has to go’.

09.01.2022 I love #cycling to work! One part I struggle with, however, is crossing this bridge over the #CooksRiver at Arncliffe. The path is not wide enough for cyclists going each way to pass each other comfortably and cars travel at 70km/h right next to the path. Does anyone else feel this way? #cyclinglife #ridetowork

08.01.2022 The M6 will affect air quality in St George and might accidentally drain our wetlands, and in the Sutherland Shire sports fields will be lost according to a council report. This should not go ahead!

08.01.2022 Very disappointing to see such force used against peaceful Black Lives Matter protest!

08.01.2022 Some good news for students:

07.01.2022 Here is an opportunity to find out details about what the NSW government has been up to and hold them to account. Reply directly to David Shoebridge if you have a question that you want the oversight committee to ask.

04.01.2022 There are concerns that parts of Barton Park might be subject to residential or industrial development after all as a developer has submitted a proposal according to the Leader article below. The northern section is not included in the current master plan. Local plans for green open space need to be considered together so a good balance between sporting fields and areas for passive recreation can be achieved. Watch this space for upcoming campaigns and check out the master plan.

01.01.2022 If you have time, it would be great to send an email about this to the government ASAP!

01.01.2022 Government grants need much better transparency and accountability! https://www.smh.com.au//premier-approved-controversial-gra
