23.01.2022 Throwback to my first comp to the last one I did What’s different? Well a lot of muscle, more knowledge, a healthier body, high calories , less cardio , personalised programmes, hydration on the day and a damn good coach that listened to me without giving me cookie cutter BS and too much cardio and low ass calories I didn’t need to be on! Now not every coach is right for you but you will damn well know when you get a good one because they respond to your enquiries, kn...ow how the body works, hold you accountable and also monitor stress, sleep, nutrition to hormones. Also you won’t have a cookie cutter with someone else name left on (yes true story). You need to commit to doing the work and take action! My team is just that a team that commits! We are in a partnership to hit goals with a happy balanced life approach. I have had set backs to. I did 22 weeks of prep over Covid to have my show cancelled. So I didn’t cry about it or quit... I did something about it. I changed the plan from prep to muscle build. I didn’t give up and I’m still in training to build as much as I can before I decide on stage dates. I have been a PT over 9 years and have learned from the industries best and all I can say is don’t give up! You got this! Rome wasn’t built in a day and you need to eat to transform! 08.01.2022 GHOSTS OF MY PAST! She is genetically gifted... swipe to the end and tell me it’s genetics! ... Hell no I struggled! I was that skinny girl that partied, travelled the world and would laugh if someone asked me to go to the gym. I was under eating, smoking, drinking and partying hard! I was that girl that woke up with a hangover and went to work wondering why I felt so crap all the time. I dropped out of school and due to my own determination and people believing in me I become a Marketing executive in some of the biggest companies in NZ. I got accepted in a marketing course only available to CEO level and university levels which I passed with honours. It was here I realised I didn’t want to be in Marketing and I wasn’t happy. I had come to end of the corporate road but still loved being creative. I had a small cancer scare and put out the cigarettes and changed my life forever. I went to a gym and found my love for health and fitness and I wanted to share what I had with everyone! I quit my 9-5pm job. I went to University and studied Level 5 personal training certificate and I started as a coach over 9 years ago! I never have looked back. I did 4 IFBB bikini comps even though I suffered from stage fright and finally at age 40 I came 2nd in Ifbb proleaque Masters defying my age, defying all those that said I had to go on roids (as I am a natural athlete) and this natural athlete showed myself what I was capable of and didn’t give a crap with others said to me. It paid off! Now show me you can do it! My team works as hard as me and I couldn’t be prouder to be there coach, friend and keep them accountable! 07.01.2022 Are you sabotaging your own gains? If you feel your not reaching goals then read the below... 1. Always going to failure every set so your body is too sore to repair and recover fast enough so you can perform well the next day in the gym? Your actually better off to have 2 reps left in the tank going lighter to hit the muscle groups 2x per week. Over training is one way to loose gains. ... 2. The I know what to eat I just don’t do it approach... We have all been there and well if you knew what to eat you would be doing it right? If you have no clue on calories, macros and what your maintenance calories are then you’re 100 percent guessing and wasting precious gains in the meantime with no clue on what amounts your consuming to get good results. It can be confusing but nutrition is key so get it right and stop guessing then your body will see more changes faster. You will need to measure and this is not an option if you want great progress. 3. Winging your workouts as well as nutrition... Progressive overload and learning the basics with a tailored programme and nutrition plan is unbeatable for progress. Before you even buy supplements or try free adhoc workouts that most of the time won’t allow for progressive overload and aren’t for your fitness levels or goals half the time...I suggest to get a good coach and get a nutrition plan and training programme to keep you accountable. 4. Work on habits and changing your mindset. The rest is 100 percent up to you. 5. Be prepared to invest for years as fitness is for life not a 8 week programme or 30 day challenge. It won’t teach you skills to keep changing every week or give you time to see changes you can sustain. 6. Sleep is the most powerful supplement in the world so get 7-8 hours a night. 7. Water drink up to 2-3 litres a day and don’t skip this step! We are made up of 70 percent water so get tighter by drinking more! 8. Find your why? Find it and remember it daily! 9. Show up and take action. 10. Start... you will never be ready. Let’s go!
