25.01.2022 Being on the road is awesome but not what you would call luxurious or super comfy. I was reminded of this when we took a detour to visit a long time friend at her new house. Of course I successfully sniffed out the best spot... on the lounge snug amongst the cushions on the super fluffy rug! Oops... it’s been so long since I’d visited a house seems I forgot about the ‘not on the furniture’ rule.
21.01.2022 And it was Harlie by a nose!!! Didn’t watch the race but definitely gave mum the run around!
21.01.2022 Wow! I could get used to being a farm dog at Foxbar Falls. This great, not so little, dog friendly farmstay grows veges with acres of spring onions and carrots and 4 huge dams for irrigation. Around the dams are lots of nooks and crannies for RV’s to camp. Some areas with power and water, some not. Some with shade and fire pits, and lots with big stone slab tables while others are open and sunny. Best of all there were no prickles and lots of places to sniff with the farm ho...sting lots of local wildlife and plenty of walking trails to hilltops, hidden dams and waterfalls. Paws up from me. I don’t want to leave. A must do when you next visit Southern Downs and Granite Belt region. Location: 375 Goldfields Rd, Amiens, Queensland (20kms north west of Stanthorpe). #greynomad #adventuredog #holidayherethisyear #thisisqueensland Share to let others know about this great dog friendly place in Oz. 18.01.2022 Toot!! Toot! I’ve never been on a train before. Today I’m taking the train back in time... at the Amiens Legacy Centre. This old carriage is full of memorabilia of days gone by and a royal visit. Lots to explore. Location: Amiens, Stanthorpe region, Southern Downs and Granite Belt, Queensland.... #greynomad #adventuredog #holidayherethisyear #thisisqueensland Share to let others know about this great dog friendly place in Oz. 18.01.2022 Absolutely wonderful! That is the only way I can describe the Dalrymple Park free camp at Allora on the flat and fertile Darling Downs. With large promenades bordered by magnificent trees running alongside a small creek it really is quite picturesque. Come on... let’s walk! Paws up from me with lots of green grass, no prickles and plenty of places to sniff. It also has a toilet and picnic tables and your choice of sunny or shady spots to camp. Easy walk to the centre of th...e little town of Allora. Location: Allora is 27kms north of Warwick in SE Qld and 100kms north of the Qld/NSW border. #travelwithdogsinoz #adventuredog #holidayherethisyear #thisisqueensland Share to let others know about this great dog friendly place in Oz. 16.01.2022 I’m the kind of girl that likes a bit of comfort. I might be on the road but that doesn’t mean I want to feel every bump so my wonderful Aunty gave me this awesome big dog memory foam bed. Mum cut it so part of it squeezed between the front seats and the rest spreads out behind mums seat. Smooth ridin’ all day long and no heat build up from under the floor. Happy girl! Where do your pooches sit when travelling?
14.01.2022 Wow...real red poppies! Makes every day remembrance day! You can see them too when you are next touring Granite Belt Wine Country. Seek out the tiny town of Amiens, Queensland, Australia and visit the Legacy Centre. As well as poppies there is an awesome topiary train with built in picnic tables. This little self guided centre has plenty to explore. Sniff out your faves! #greynomad #adventuredog #holidayherethisyear #thisisqueensland ... 13.01.2022 Very happy to be home with friends and family this Christmas! Location: Gotta love the Stumers dog off-leash beach, Coolum, Sunshine Coast, Qld. #greynomaddog #adventuredog #dogtourgide
12.01.2022 Come sit with me... I love this huge stone carved love seat. Is it sandstone? Who made it? Why is it here? So many questions inspired by the craftmans accentuation of the natural colours. It can be found along the creek on the walkway to town from the free-camp at the tiny town of Allora. A fun photo-op when you visit Southern Downs and Granite Belt, SEQ. A great little place to visit. ... #greynomad #adventuredog #holidayherethisyear #thisisqueensland Share to let others know about this great dog friendly place in Oz. Like my page to discover more...
11.01.2022 The tiny town of Leyburn on the Southern Downs and Granite Belt was a beautiful and historic stopover. Home to the oldest operating pub in Qld, the town is also the site of Australias first international grand prix held in 1949 and now celebrates each year with the Historic Leyburn Sprints. The freecamp at the recreation grounds was cool and quiet and a great place just to relax for a while. We almost had it to ourselves. Paws up from me. Green grass, no prickles, plenty of... room for walks and an easy walk into the main street and up to the historic Royal Hotel Leyburn. Dog friendly and welcoming. #travelwithdogsinoz #adventuredog #holidayherethisyear #thisisqueensland Share to let others know about this great dog friendly place in Oz. 09.01.2022 Been nowhere fun! Feeling down...
07.01.2022 Freedom!!!! A caravan park that allows dogs off lead is a rare thing indeed. There are rules but they were fine by me (I don’t dig, bark, get aggressive or chase sheep! ) I got to play frisbee, become best mates with the farm boss dog, look in awe at the sheep as they wandered around the vans and the big happy hour fire pit, and sniff away to my hearts content. Can you tell I had a woofing good time at Chinchilla Country Camping.... Plenty of grass, no prickles and plenty of room. This little farm stay gets a paws up from me. A great place just to chill when you visit the Western Downs Queensland. Located 2kms north of Chinchilla on Auburn Road the farm is all weather accessible with large level sites with power and water available. Toilets, ahowers, bins, camp kitchen, washing machine and communal fire pit. #travelwithdogsinoz #adventuredog #holidayherethisyear #thisisqueensland Share to let others know about this great dog friendly place in Oz. 06.01.2022 After crazy weather it is good to get out and have some fun in the super fresh air and sunshine. I had fun snooping and sniffing at Atkinson Dam in the Somerset Regional Council area, SEQ and the Atkinsons Dam Holiday Park is a great little dog friendly park by the edge of the dam that we love staying at. For those that appreciate quiet, friendly, no hassles kind of places. #travelwithdogsinoz #adventuredog #holidayherethisyear #thisisqueensland Share to let others know about this great dog friendly place in Oz. 01.01.2022 On top of the world... Livin’ the high life on top of Dunethin Rock, overlooking the beautiful Maroochy River below, Mt Ninderry behind me an Mount Coolum to the east. Awesome place to be in the early morning or late afternoon when you next Visit Sunshine Coast, Qld.... Day use only. Best leave the moho or the van at the end of the road. No camping but lots of easily accessible rock to layout the picnic blanket. #adventuredog #greynonaddog #dogtourism
