18.01.2022 Grading day and last chance to register. Hi Parents and Guardians, Welcome to another season of cricket with the Greystanes Cricket Club. This Sunday we will conduct our grading day. We will need to organise our teams for this season, plus ensure we provide you details on how we aim to play in a COVD safe manner. Age groups have been split into manageable groups to be COVID safe... E-mails have also been sent to participants that have already registered. Roberta st nets 20th September Under 10 8:30 - 9:30am Under 10 White 9:45 - 10:45am Under 11 9:45 - 10:45am Under 12 10:50 - 11:50am Under 13 10:50 - 11:50am Please be ready to bat and bowl in the nets An important step on arrival is to scan the QR code that we will have near the net area. This will ensure we can provide an attendance list to NSW Health if required. You will need to access the camera on your mobile device to scan the QR code. This will provide a link for you to enter your name and mobile number. Please consider the following important points to ensure we are COVID safe. -If you have flu symptoms please stay away, or -If you have been in contact with a known or suspected case of COVID-19 stay away -Please ensure you practice social distancing rules -Stay enough distance away from the cricket net area for kids only -Don’t share equipment -Use hand sanitiser. We will have some available if you don’t. -One parent per child Please keep in mind there can be big fines if social distancing is not observed.

07.01.2022 With hot weather forecast this weekend, we thought it timely to remind all of our Extreme Heat Policy. Questions regarding the policy, should be directed to you...r individual Clubs in the first instance Extreme Heat Policy 1.4 The fitness of conditions for play at each venue are at the sole discretion of the Umpire who shall decide whether play begins, continues or is suspended based on the conditions and circumstances at that venue. If play is taking place it becomes subject to the Extreme Heat Policy if temperatures reach levels described in that Policy. SMARTPHONE APP The Weather Channel shall be the official App for sourcing temperature data. The feels like temperature shall be the official temperature measurement. Smartphone location settings must be enabled. CESSATION OF PLAY Level 1 The umpires shall schedule additional drinks intervals in the event that the feels like temperature exceeds 37 degrees Celsius (32 degrees for Junior matches). The drinks interval shall be of 5 minutes duration. Players and umpires may leave the field of play during this interval. Level 2 Play shall cease immediately in the event that The Weather Channel feels like temperature, at the location, exceeds 41 degrees Celsius (37 for Junior matches). Resumption of play Play shall resume if the feels like temperature drops to 41 degrees (37 for Juniors) or less. Loss of playing time due to Extreme Heat is treated as any other weather-related interruption. PDCA reserve the right to cancel a round based on a forecast of extreme heat conditions.
