24.01.2022 Dear Sylvia, I want to acknowledge the grace and beauty you brought to Cushla's memorial. I can think of no one better able to convey her being and essence than you. It was a beautiful and moving service. I am so grateful for everyone's efforts to provide it Livestream. 23.01.2022 So, after completion of the CT scan, we were immediately told to meet the Dr at her office. That’s when we received the diagnosis. The Dr already scheduled a visit to the Oncologist and the Oncologist had already scheduled an appointment for the Biopsy. During the car ride to the Biopsy appointment you were silent. I looked over and asked, What are you thinking? You’ve been really quiet. Are you able to share with me, because we’re in this together. Then you said, I‘ve had... a Great life. I have a beautiful family whom I love and I know loves me. Whatever GOD says is ok with me. It’s in his hands. I decided to post this message in support of a very special person to me who fought firmly and with good energy. Taught me to live every day as the best day! Now I'm looking at those who will have time to read this post until the end. This is a small test, just to see who reads and who shares without reading! 06.01.2022 The haka was performed at Cushla’s tangi (funeral) where she was mourned and remembered. The haka is an integral part of the Maori mourning process that allowed the participants to vent their anger that Cushla was no longer here. It was also a sign of aroha (love, concern, empathy). 03.01.2022 When I am among the trees, especially the willows and the honey locust, equally the beech, the oaks and the pines, they give off such hints of gladness.... I would almost say that they save me, and daily. I am so distant from the hope of myself, in which I have goodness, and discernment, and never hurry through the world walk slowly, and bow often. Around me the trees stir in their leaves and call out, "Stay awhile. "The light flows from their branches.
