11.01.2022 Did anyone notice this article in the SMH? Strategic planners dont tend to come up with solutions all by themselves but are directed towards an outcome dictated by a politician. Any planner worth their salt would tell you that building bigger roads only increases traffic congestion - the reason why more roads are built is all tied up with economics, vested interests and pressure groups. So if everybody got a bit more involved in pressuring their politicians perhaps we would have a better outcome? Democracy is a crap system but its the best one we've got - did Winston Churchill say that??
