23.01.2022 Hi All, Its now time to get serious about the Social 4s. For those who are not yet familiar with the concept - Social 4s is: - 15 a side rugby... - played on Friday nights throughout the regular season in a round Robyn format - teams must have an average age of at least 28 (which well smash!) Well need 35 to 45 players to ensure we have enough coverage for injuries, work and family commitments. We are pretty close to that already! The cost to register as a player is $250. That will cover: - the cost of insurance (about $200) - socks - hat - training shirt Training wont be a super critical aspect of our social 4s campaign this year. However, we do need numbers confirmed and people to turn up to sort out positions, calls etc. As stated in the previous post. The Griffins are training on Tuesday and Thursday nights. I propose all interested players come to Hawkins oval this Thursday for a kick off meeting and training session! Also, please share and invite others who you think will be keen. See you at Six p.m. Hawkins, 27th Feb!

16.01.2022 To everyone who has liked this page so far, thank you. Please feel free to share it with anyone you think might be interested in a social game of rugby on Friday nights followed by a beer throughout winter (and a night off from the chaos of home life). Posts, drawer, details to come. Also, if anyone wants to increase their fitness, the Saturday side is training on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 6pm. All are welcome. Training is not compulsory for the social team.

14.01.2022 Hi All, Just in case youve been living in a cave: The NHRU has postponed all rugby related activities (including all training, trial matches, competitions and rep rugby) until the 1st week of May 2020. Obviously, this means a postponement of all pre-season activities connected to social 4s.... Updates will be posted as they come to hand. Rod.

Hang about for a snag after good hard training session. #behard For the social guys, no training required but Roderick Beath would like to see your faces so he can be confident with numbers. 07.01.2022 We have received an update from the NHRU to advise: 1) Social 4s comp will commence on the 17th of April 2) The comp will consist of 14 rounds (including finals) 3) There will be four full round byes: 8/5, 5/6, 10/7 and 31/7 4) No draw just yet but expected soon... A reminder that we need to register as players before the comp starts. Training and a meeting with a BBQ will be on again tomorrow night at Hawkins oval Trading will start at six pm.
