22.01.2022 Hi All We've been a little quiet lately, it's been a busy and challenging year. We're now well into the 2013/ 2014 growing season with things looking great out in the vineyard. A highlight for the year was the release of our 2013 Pinot Rose, which has been added recently to our online store www.griffinwinesdirect.com . Keep an eye out also for our 2013 Sauvignon Blanc which will be added in the next few days to close out the year. Looking forward to next year we've got some e...xciting plans for 2014, including making our first oaked Chardonnay! We'd like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us this year, whether that's through buying our wine, working in the vineyard through winter cold and summer heat, transporting our grapes, designing our marketing material, making our wine, buying our grapes or liking this page. 21.01.2022 With so much great stuff happening in Adelaide at the moment its easy to forget that today is the 30th Anniversary of Ash Wednesday, the terrible day on the 16th February 1983 when fires killed 75 people in SA and Vic and destroyed stock, feed, buildings and personal possessions. 21.01.2022 Happy New Year everyone! We hope you had a great Christmas and New Year break and you are surviving this incredible heat. Our vines are holding up to the stress quite with the canopy providing our young fruit with shade and protection. Having said that well be very happy to get through the next few days. Our thanks and thoughts go out to all of the CFS and MFS firies and Police out there at the moment making sure we stay safe. Were very excited about 2014 and releasing some more fantastic wines. 19.01.2022 We're back!!! The Griffin Wines team send you our first greetings for 2016. We’re coming to the end of this year’s vintage and have seen some great results thanks to a long stretch of fine weather through summer. We’ve kept 2016’s production small, focusing on producing the best Shiraz and Pinot Noir we can. Everything is pointing to a couple of great wines to be released next year. 2015 was a very sad and difficult year for us. Trev passed away during vintage and we have mad...e a special commemorative Shiraz in his honour it was crushed at the winery on the day he left us. We also lost our loved Bear-dog on the same day but we now have a new addition Pippa, our pint sized Principal. We can’t argue that Trev was driven whether it was his approach to the law or to politics or to his passion for the vineyard and our wines. We are now making plans for the future of Griffin Wines and it is our hope we can continue Trev’s legacy of producing excellent wines. We need to clear the decks we still have some great wines that we can offer to you at an excellent price. 07.01.2022 Our first post in a while and unfortunately a sad one. Trevor passed away after a long battle with illness on the 7th March this year. There will be a Celebration of Life for him on the 27th April (details below). Griffin Wines wont end here, over the next few months well be working on what direction we will take and will be back in touch soon. Details for Trevs celebration of life:... Family, friends, colleagues and members of the public are invited to attend. To assist with catering arrangements please register your attendance via telephone to the Office of External Relations on 8226 8709 by Monday 20 April. Light refreshments will be served after the service.

06.01.2022 There have been a lot of changes in the few years since we last posted! To celebrate our re-emergence from hibernation in time for the holiday season, weve set up a coupon for 25% off! Earlier this year, we embarked on a new adventure and officially took over the vineyard after managing it for the last few years. Were hoping with some hard work and a little luck, we can pick up where Val and Trevor... left off and leave a legacy for our three girls, while having a whole lot of fun along the way. With the passing of the baton at the vineyard, weve also changed winemakers. Darryl Catlin, known for his work at Sidewood Wines and his own Catlin wines, has steered us through our first two vintages. The plan is to keep production small, aiming for a cool climate style that will focus on the subtle flavours of the fruit, balanced acid, pepper and French Oak tannins. The 2017 and 2018 Shiraz are now available on our website, griffinwinesdirect.com, and wed be very happy for you to buy a bottle or 12 and give them a try.
