22.01.2022 Wow! Another great practice day/night we had yesterday. Great weather with a chilly night to top it off ... good times catching up with our dirt track friends, old & new. GMSC Committee would like to say THANK YOU to all our volunteers, without you we cannot hold these days: David Gras, our Clerk of the Course, Jan for running the canteen & getting our coffee machine up & running for some yummy coffees & hot chocolate, Don our hot chip cooking man, all the canteen volunteers ...(wonderful to see so many of you), Rod for grading the track (after all the rain we had this past week) and making it exceptional for riding once again, all our flag marshalls & a huge shout out to David Rovere at Coates Hire Griffith for sorting us a portable light tower at the last minute (birds had chewed wiring on 1 of our lighting towers) and to all the parents & carers who brought your kids out to ride, from near & far, we thank you too! I need to make mention especially of our junior riders ... of whom we had 30+ riding yesterday. These kids are the future of GMSC & we have so many amazing kids involved. We love hearing all their stories of 'racing' and 'who overtook who' ... their infectious laughter & stories enlighten us all As always our senior riders turn up to show us how its really done (and some scare the hell outta me personally!) So you can come and ride this weekend even if you're not an annual member; Seniors must still have a current MA annual licence or a one-event licence (this can be purchased for $30 in line with the registration process); Juniors wanting to ride must have a current MA annual licence or be able... to provide proof of participating in a Kickstart within the last 12 months (must have a junior logbook) and then will also have to purchase a one-event licence also. You must be able to comply with all COVID safe rules and not have been in any COVID hotspots in the last 14 days, as defined by NSW Health; QR code/Covid Tracer to register your details at side of canteen as you come through, please have your smartphone camera ready! (manual COVID19 register will be available for those without a smartphone); NO MANUAL ONE-EVENT LICENCES can be purchased on the day. 02.01.2022 This is why we do what we do! Kickstart program welcomed lots of new kiddies into dirt track riding in the morning. Then we had our Practice Day/Night ride. Lots of new faces, junior & senior, which was great to see We are just so happy we could bring some fun back for every, as 2020 hasn't been a great year so far.
