22.01.2022 Four Griffith University computer science graduates are creating meaningful technology solutions with their burgeoning Gold Coast-based startup. Hightro’s executive team, Carl Humphries, Sam Bruhn, Joshua Nicoll and Harrison Croaker, saw a business opportunity unfold while working together on assessment at Griffith. The group is currently in the Beta testing phase of a hospitality staffing solutions app called HOVA, which they developed in partnership with Gold Coast chef Colin Jewell.

01.01.2022 Griffith University and HOTA’s 'A better future for all' series continues in 2021 with the next instalment being held on Thursday 11 February 2021. Moderated by renowned journalist Kerry O’Brien, the first instalment of this series for 2021 will welcome the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP as our guest. This conversation will discuss the big policy challenges facing Queensland as the pandemic hopefully recedes - economic, social, environmental - and how Palaszczuk intends... to confront them. O’Brien will also explore her motivation, influences and style of leadership.
