25.01.2022 The new season of the Rod McNabb Sponsored Caltex 5's Competition will start from Monday 5th October 2020. The format for the Caltex 5's will remain the same as in previous years. Teams of 5, can play any day of the week, best 4 scores count, stroke event with Double Par rule in play, can be played in conjunction with competition rounds. Registration forms can be downloaded from the following link:... https://www.griffithgolfclub.com.au//Caltex-5-Rego-Form.pdf There is a new Caltex 5's 6 month membership offer for any non member to join the club and/or competition starting immediately. Join for only $120 for 6 months (Oct to March) a saving of $130. Membership forms for this promotion are available from the following link: https://www.griffithgolfclub.com.au//2019-6-Month-Membersh Membership forms are also available from the Griffith Pro Shop. Non handicapping players can do their handicap cards the week before the competition starts. If possible can all team entry's be in by Friday 2nd October. Players will play off the handicap that they finished off the last season on if they don't have an official AGU golf handicap.

25.01.2022 The Griffith Golf Club yesterday had it's biggest ever field with 144 players in the Griffith City Volkswagen Scramble. First place this year went to the team of Craig Barrington, Jim Cassidy, Tony Leadbitter and Andrew Scott with 63 off the stick for a nett 54.5. Second place and also earning a place in the Regional finals were the team of Matthew Boots, Aaron Leeson Woolley, Shane McInnes and Shane Ravu also with 63 off the stick for a nett 55. 4 Ladies teams played with the team of Natalie Cassidy, Dulcie Knight, Christine Cunial and Elizabeth Humpreys winning 62.5 nett.

24.01.2022 Another succesful week was had in the Rod McNabb Caltex 5's October - December competition with 240 cards played. In the first 4 weeks of this competition we ha...ve had 1,051 cards returned with an average of 262. An interesting battle is the mix in Division 1 with Burglars and MI 5 clearing away from the pack on the leader board after 4 weeks, while MI 5 other team MI 6 sit in 4 spot. Division 2 is also very close with MeJulie and Ramrods early leaders also after 4 rounds Fuel Voucher winners from Week 4 were: Div 1 Brett Jones (MI 5) 30 nett, Div 2 Andrew Romagnolo (No-Wads) 34 nett c/b, Div 3 Kodie Charles (Dick's Diggers) 33 nett, Div 4 Nick Van Lijt (Fairway Ninja's) 30 nett and Div 5 Terry Greedy (Get Set Ball Hitters) 30 nett. 22.01.2022 Griffith Golf Club Members and guests can now scan a QR Code through the Service NSW App on your mobile device. The purpose of this new Service NSW system is to help venues comply with record keeping obligations and facilitate fast and effective contact tracing with a contactless check-in. The check-in automatically captures the date, time and location and securely stores them on a NSW Government database for the sole purpose of contact tracing. After 28 days, the data is destroyed.

22.01.2022 A record-breaking 270 cards were played in week 1 of the October/December Caltex 5's competition sponsored by Rod McNabb Caltex. This is the biggest number of cards played in the history of the Caltex 5's competition and was especially pleasing considering the bad weather during the week. There is also a record 39 teams split into 5 divisions, which is 195 players another record.... 20.01.2022 Another record breaking week in the Rod McNabb Caltex 5's has seen 281cards played in Week 5 of this competition. Some extremely low scores were returned during the week with 8 players with scores of 30 nett or less. Trey Woodland from YTW in Division 4 played 11 shots under his handicap to shot a nett 25 for the weeks best score. Winners of the Fuel Vouchers in each Division were: Div 1 Jason Magoci (Owen Toyota Rugged) 32 nett, Chris Fuchs (B & C Coppers) 29 nett, Kodie Charles (Dick's Diggers) 30 nett, Trey Woodland (YTW) 25 nett and Kye Garrett (De Cellar Boys) 28 nett.

20.01.2022 Another record week of Caltex 5's competition was played last week with 277 cards played in Week 2 of the Rod McNabb Caltex 5's October - December Competition. This surpasses last weeks record of 270 cards. The competition now has 200 players with 40 teams of 5, with 8 teams in each of the 5 divisions. Another highlight of week 2 was a Hole in One to Corey Charles from Dick's Diggers on the 7th Hole.... 15.01.2022 The next Rod McNabb Caltex 5's January - March 2021 Competition will start from Monday 18th January. Team registration will remain at $50 per team. If teams are re-entering the same team as their October-December team, you just need to e-mail me at [email protected] stating that you are entering the same team. You only then need to pay the $50 team registration. All teams are reminded that your team winnings from last year are set up on the Club/Pro Shop tills under your team name for you to use. Registration Fees cannot be taken out of these winning, this must be paid at the start of each competition.

14.01.2022 I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support of The Longest Day for Cancer Council on Monday. Our team goal was to raise $3000 and ...currently we are at just under $4000 which is a phenomenal effort. I want to thank everyone who has donated to this cause so far, we really appreciate the support. In what has been the best Caltex 5's competition with a tota...l of 2309 cards returned in the 9 weeks of competition at an average of 256 cards per week. 06.01.2022 The 2020 Gold Medal, sponsored by Rex Airlines, playoff was played on Saturday with the Winners winning return air flights between Griffith and Sydney. Pictured are the Gold Medal winners with Club President Robin Salvestro presenting the their prizes.
