23.01.2022 In December 2020, Meals on Wheels Australia received a Message of Appreciation letter and medal from His Excellency General the Honourable David Hurley AC DSC (...Retd) (Governor-General of Australia) and Her Excellency Mrs Linda Hurley. Within the letter, Their Excellencies thank Meals on Wheels for its significant contribution and dedication to supporting vulnerable members of the Australian community throughout the many challenges of 2020. They thanked the work, passion and commitment of Meals on Wheels services, including its hardworking staff and generous, dedicated volunteers. Meals on Wheels services across Australia are justifiably proud that our extraordinary efforts throughout 2020 were recognised by our Patrons, His Excellency Governor-General David Hurley and Mrs Hurley, national President Sharyn Broer says. I was delighted to accept this medal on their behalf, and thank our Patrons for their staunch support. We thank Their Excellencies for being such wonderful Patrons and incredible advocates for our essential service.

20.01.2022 So proud to accept the award for Environmental Citizens of the Year for Hampers of Hope! Our program has grown tremendously over the last 12 months and with the help of our very generous donation partners and local members of the Griffith community we are able to rescue and redistribute over 1000kg of food each week into 100’s of Hampers! Thankyou to everyone who has contributed over the last year your donation no matter how big or small has helped disadvantaged members of our community. Thankyou & Happy Australia Day!

09.01.2022 A HUGE Thankyou to the Sergi Family for once again supporting Meals on Wheels with a delicious delivery of Sugar Plums!! These will be thoroughly enjoyed by our clients. We have also shared with Griffith Community Centre, Griffith Police, Linking Communities Network, Barnabas House, Links for Women, Sisters of Mercy, Intereach, Griffith Aged Support Services, Hyandra Village, Dyirri Bang Gu Aboriginal Aged Care, Ningana Enterprises as well as many individuals. 03.01.2022 Our Santa for a Senior program is running again only this year we are joining with Hampers of Hope to deliver Gifts of Hope to more members of the Local Community!
