18.01.2022 Latest Update We are now conducting Telehealth consultations via FaceTime , Skype ,WhatsApp or Coviu which is a specialised secure platform which has end to end encryption. Presently DVA , EPC, Workers Compensation & Third Party have approved payment for these consultations. At the moment private health funds are not covering these but we have been told that this will begin on 14 April.... Until the health funds come on line we are charging a set reduced rate of $53.80 for these consultations.

10.01.2022 COVID-19 The Griffith Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Centre remains open for consultations. We are currently operating in accordance with the Australian Physiotherapy Association and Health Authority guidelines.... If you have an appointment, please advise, prior to attending, if you have: *recently returned from overseas travel *any cold or flu symptoms ( these include fever, runny nose, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat) *been in direct contact with anyone with a suspected or confirmed coronavirus diagnosis In these circumstances, we will require you to reschedule your appointment. Our practice has been providing Physiotherapy services in Griffith for over 30 years and we are currently planning for the continuation of those services should we need to temporarily suspend in-person consultations. 09.01.2022 We would like to welcome 2 new physiotherapists to the practice, Bruce Gilmour & Megan Polkinghorne. Bruce has a Bachelor of Science ANU, Bachelor of Education(Human Movement) Syd Uni & Masters of Physiotherapy, University of Canberra. He has extensive clinical experience & joins us from Echuca Moama, previously having spent 10 years at Leeton Physiotherapy, 5 years as practice principal.He has special interest in musculoskeletal & sports injuries, dry needling & paediatrics... as well as exercise physiology & clinical Pilates. Megan is a local Griffith girl who has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Charles Sturt University. She joins us after working in private practice in Albury. She has a special interest in musculoskeletal & sports injuries. The addition of the extra staff will hopefully cut our waiting list & make appointments more accessible.

05.01.2022 COVID-19 Following the PM’s statement last night we remain open for some Physiotherapy consultations. We are working, however, with reduced staff numbers and if your appointment is with a staff member who will not be in attendance you will receive a call from that physiotherapist. As you all know, the situation is rapidly evolving. We expect that the practice may be closed by the end of this week. ... Please do not attend if * you have any cold or flu symptoms *you have recently returned from overseas travel or have been in direct contact with someone who has *you have been in direct contact with any person who is currently being tested for or has a confirmed coronavirus diagnosis Please note that if you are over 65 years of age and/or have a chronic health problem it is thought that you may be at increased risk of severe disease so please carefully reconsider attending. We are working hard to establish a Telehealth service and we will keep you updated about that. If you have any reservations about attending, please call in advance and speak to our staff.
