19.01.2022 GRIFFITH RELAY OCTOBER 9 & 10 2021 I am very excited to let you all know that the planning of the Griffith Relay for Life event for 2021 has well and truly started. 2020 was a year like no other and has changed the way many things are done. Saying this, I am happy to say that your relay committee are still organising the event that you know and enjoy, while adapting to Covid restrictions. An event where we will unite in our purple shirts and walk Solar Mad Stadium. An eve...nt where we will Celebrate. Remember. Fight Back. I am also excited to tell you that the website is now officially running and waiting for you and your team to join. 06.01.2022 SENSE OF COMMUNITY GETS RECOGNITION Tonight, the Griffith Relay for Life community, would like to congratulate Dolf Murwood on his nomination for our citizen of the year in the upcoming Australia Day Ceremony. There is no doubt we are very biased, but Dolf is very deserving of this recognition for all her does for our community.... We can’t imagine how much time he dedicates to the awesome 2miafm, but we know everything is always done to Dolf’s absolute best and always benefits our community. Griffith Relay for Life has benefited greatly from Dolf’s generosity of both time and spirit, for many, many years and has been an integral part of the growth of our community’s biggest platform to fight back against all cancers. Well done Dolf and best wishes for January 26th.

01.01.2022 EVERY 4 MINUTES ANOTHER AUSTRALIAN IS DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER It was anticipated that in 2020, 145 000 new cases of cancer would be diagnosed in Australia. Thanks to you however, and people just like you, cancer survival rates in Australia have been increasing.... Between 1987-1991 and 2012-2016, five year relative survival for cancer improved from 51% to 69%. The Griffith Relay for Life committee thank you for all you do to empower CCNSW to fight back against all cancers. Ultimately however, you aren’t just supporting CCNSW, but rather giving HOPE to our cancer patients, their families, their friends and their communities. Thank you for all you made possible in 2020 and we look forward to sharing the dream of a cancer free future with you in 2021. HOPE the ultimate gift
