14.01.2022 How often does your child take time to sit and read quietly? Extended reading time is vital in assisting your child to develop their vocabulary, spelling, comprehension and writing skills. We recommend that students in lower primary read for at least 20 minutes each day. The older the child, the more reading time required.

12.01.2022 MEET THE BUSINESS OWNER Griffith Tutoring Centre was born in 2020 out of my desire to nurture and support student learning within a high-quality, individually-focused environment. It is my belief that through our unique, specially tailored, small-group tutoring sessions, Griffith Tutoring Centre is able to provide students with opportunities not always available to them within a standard school setting. ****... My own love of learning began early when, only a school student myself, I suddenly found myself chasing academic success at every opportunity. I followed this passion as a young woman by completing an integrated Bachelor of Education (Secondary) / Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Masters in Social Change and Development (Organisational Leadership and Capacity Building) at the University of Newcastle, Australia. My early career brought me to Griffith in regional New South Wales, where I was employed for five years by the NSW Department of Education to teach a large variety of secondary subjects at what is now Murrumbidgee Regional High School. I functioned as Administrator for the Distance Education and Aurora College programs. In addition, I mentored HSC students, built educational resources, provided assessment advice and facilitated study skills workshops within a school-based senior tutorial centre for a number of years. In more recent years, I have worked as an Academic Tutor at a well-established local tutoring centre, and facilitated regular adult training sessions as part of a federal government employment preparation program. https://www.griffithtutoringcentre.com/

07.01.2022 Did you know that we service many clients from areas outside of Griffith township? Our students hail from places as far as Murrami, Leeton, Barellan, Coleambally and Rankins Springs. The convenience of our later sessions, at 5:30pm and 7pm, means that students have plenty of time to travel to Griffith after school for their all important tutoring session. No need for that usual weekday afternoon rush!

03.01.2022 NEW PRIMARY TUTOR Caitlín’s passion for teaching began at a very young age when she worked as a camp leader on language immersion camps in Ireland. Caitlín graduated with an International Bachelor of Arts degree, with double honours in Irish and Spanish, from Maynooth University in 2016. During her time at there, she also spent a year working as an English Teacher in a primary school in Spain. Caitlin then continued on to study a Professional Masters in Education at The Natio...nal University of Ireland, Galway. She graduated with honours in 2018. Since then, Caitlín has been employed as both a Primary Teacher and a High School Teacher, teaching a wide range of subjects both in Ireland and here in Australia. She is currently residing in Griffith and working locally as a High School Teacher. Caitlín is excited about assisting the students at Griffith Tutoring Centre to build their confidence in learning and reach their academic goals.
