25.01.2022 Welcome back to Trimester 1 folks! Being well into Week 2 now, we have an exciting term ahead . We have another Sign-On day tomorrow if you want to come along and pay membership for the year or just have a chat. 10am - 3pm on the Library Lawn. Also, our beach trainings are on again this Thursday Morning from 7am. Just meet in front of the Southport SLSC Tower (#40). Ready to see you there !

22.01.2022 Its almost December members, so a big congrats to this years Bronze Crew for completing their certification last week! Now they start patrols for the summer woohoo . That means that we have our next course coming up in mid January . Well keep everyone posted on the course details. Were still running our beach fitness sessions too every Thursday morning at Southport Surf Club from 7am . Itll be great to see some new faces over the coming few weeks. ... 21.01.2022 Hello Team! We have some exciting things coming up this winter. With the end of the 2018/19 Patrol Season last weekend were in full off season. Were holding our general fitness sessions every single Thursday from 7am at SSLSC until September . Please come and try it out, well have some board skill days too! If you are super keen on Bronze later in the year, its fantastic to come along and meet people who have done it already. Well keep you aware on any procee...dings over winter. 20.01.2022 Members!! We have at long last got a date for our Bronze Course starting this month at Southport SLSC! The course begins on the 23rd of October this month and runs for 8 weeks. Twice a week for theory (Wednesday nights) and prac (Saturday mornings). We would love to see some more Griffith students attending . If you are eager to join in, please send us a message, we would love to get you onto the beach with your certifications this year .... Hope everyone is having an excellent week!

16.01.2022 We are well and truly into 2019 folks, hope everyone has had a sunny set of Christmas holidays ! As you may be wondering, we have our next Bronze Course up and running next week, Yewww! If youre keen in taking part, send us a message and we can organise you a spot for the 6th of February for 8 weeks. Challenge yourself and learn more about surf awareness skills like swimming in RIPS, various rescue techniques for conscious and unconscious patients, using rescue boards an...d tubes, and perfecting your CPR skills and Basic First Aid. Bronze participants will need to complete a 400m (under 9 minutes) timed swim before they start the course however. This valuable Award enables you to contribute to the Community and Club with Patrols and Water Safety activities. Not long now. Send us an email or Facebook message this week!

ANZAC Day well be out for dawn service so we hope to return the following Thursday morning (May 2nd). From then on well be at Southport SLSC every Thursday morning in winter. Our first Bronze starts super soon too. We are hoping to get this starting at the end of September or early October ! 04.01.2022 Hello Everyone! We are fast approaching the 2019/2020 Lifesaving Season, with our next Bronze Course available from late September! TBC on exact date just yet, well let you all know when we know . Wanted to keep you all posted that we are receiving more and more interest for our first Bronze course. Which is fantastic news! If you want to participate or for more info, send us a message .... The Bronze runs for 8 weeks with an assessment at the end too. 03.01.2022 Hello everyone! After a long delay this year with heavy restrictions, our club wants to be able to guide students into doing their Bronze Medallion again . With Southport SLSC just finishing a course and offering another 8 week program in February, we are on the hunt for more eager people who want to challenge themselves.
