22.01.2022 We had a great weekend at the Sunshine Coast BBQ festival. It is always great to catch up with old friends and make new ones. It was fun having Awesome UGLY Bbq and Signature SMOKE as neighbours, thanks for a great laugh and good times. This was our first KCBS competition and I must say we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Well done Scott Barnett and crew. We had a consistent cook with all our boxes placing in the top 10, which is the first time for GITNO and we are ove...r the moon at this result. Chicken 9th Pork ribs 6th Pork 3rd Brisket 9th With all categories in the top 10 this let us achieve an overall position of 3rd!!! Congrats to SMOKE N DAGGERS BBQ for a well deserved RGC and The Bovine Technicians for GC. Also great to be there when the boys from Brissie Basters scored a perfect 180 in brisket. Well Done Lads, Something to strive for!! This was the first competition we have partnered with Char-Griller Australia and we thank them for their continued support. We also competed with beef supplied by Mort & Co. The Master Selection Wagyu Phoenix beef M8+ was Divine. Last but definitely not least, all the flavour that was on our protein has come from the maestros at Victory Lane BBQ all the way from Memphis in USA. Amazing Sauces and Rubs. See you all in just over a week down at Sydney for the Australian Invitational out at the Hawkesbury Showgrounds on the 9th and 10th of November where GITNO will be up against the top 30 teams in Australia and 20 international teams.

Looking forward to getting back on the BBQ horse, it has been a bit of a lean year for us with other commitments outside of BBQ. Yes we have other lives as well!!!! 20.01.2022 Well the long weekend is officially over. Home and just about to hit the hay. What an amazing experience for the second year in a row getting a chance to redeem ourselves from last years invitational, we went from a DQ in Chicken last year to a call up in 6th place in chicken this year! Over the moon with this result! Along with this we also got a call up in lamb at a respectable 8th against the toughest teams in the country and some international teams. Finishing mid field i...n other categories, making us 19th overall. We were also really happy that we were there to witness the best thing we have ever seen in Australian BBQ this weekend. To see 33 teams stand and clap continuously for Wookie and family for his GC was a goosebumps experience. A true peoples champion and a well deserved champion! Congrats Grilla's in the Mist. Hate the name, but you are a true legend!! Also Congrats to Aussie Pit Boys on a well deserved RGC as well. A special mention to our co driver this weekend who helped with getting all our stuff to Sydney and back. @Adam silvera you are a legend We could not have done this without our continued support from family and friends. Fingers crossed 2021 will be filled with sleepless nights, stinky clothes and empty wallets and we can get to a few comps. Take a look at some of our Instagram pics. 12.01.2022 Beer and bbq. This must be the greatest duo in history. Come and try both at 4 Brothers Brewing this Saturday 4th of July in sunny Toowoomba.... We will have traditional American hotdogs and loaded fries topped with your favorite American sides. Mac n cheese, pulled pork and chilli will be smothering the hot dogs and fries. May I suggest not wearing white. We cant think of a better way to come out of bbq hibernation than serving up great food at a great venue. See you all on Saturday. 12.01.2022 This beautiful Master Series Pheonix beef brisket finished up mid field at the Australian Championships over the weekend. This was one of the finest briskets we have ever cooked and we were extremely happy with the quality of this product. Coming mid field with such an amazing product tells us there is pretty damn good brisket cooks out there in the BBQ scene around Australia and the world. Cannot wait to cook more of this product. Almost as good as the GITNO mixed netball team featuring Grilling Toddy and Grilling Timmy ( we only lasted 1 season ).
