24.01.2022 This little one would love to share this delicious veggie fritters powered by crickets with you all! Keep reading for recipe! Repost and recipe by @onechangeaweek .... I love fritters. They’re great to throw in a homemade Buddha bowl or a convenient snack on the go! These veggie fritters are loaded with goodness and are super simple to make. I added a spoonful of @griloprotein powdered crickets as per usual. It’s honestly the easiest way to load extra B12 into my babes as it’s super mild in flavour. Use my code MARIT20 for 20% off store wide. veggie fritters // 1 tbsp @griloprotein Organic Cricket Powder 3 zucchini, spiralised or grated 2 sweet potato, spiralised or grated 1 carrot, spiralised or grated 2 tsp salt large handful baby spinach large handful fresh herbs of choice 4 eggs 1/2 cup almond meal 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted Pop the spiralised veggies in a colander and sprinkle with salt. Let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the excess moisture to drain. Squeeze the moisture out and place in a fresh bowl. Combine the veggies with the remaining ingredients and mix well. Shape the mixture into patties and fry for around 2 minutes on each side, or until nicely brown. Enjoy warm or cold x See more

21.01.2022 What a great idea to add energy bar as a muffin topping! Thanks @crushinglimits for sharing! Repost @crushinglimits... Would you eat an insect?! - If you were following me last year you would have known that I tried crickets for the first time! And I was quite surprised! - Actually, more than a quarter of the World’s population eats insects! That’s over 2 billion of people! - Why? Well, because they are actually GREAT in terms of nutrition! And for people trying to reduce their animal products, they are considered to be more sustainable and ethical. - They are: high in protein - up to 69% - and have all 9 essential amino acids! they are considered an ideal ‘complete protein’ source for optimal health, build lean muscle mass and improve recovery! - packed with Vitamin B12 - more than 100% of your recommended daily intake! - and a great source of calcium and iron - they have as much calcium as milk and have something called heme iron that is much better absorbed than most plant foods (that are also high in iron but in the non-heme form and poorly absorbed!) - What do we think about crickets team?! - [Lil’b Muffins with @whitewolfnutrition chocolate malt vegan protein @gorawdesserts vanilla @natvialiving @griloprotein cacao fudge ]

18.01.2022 Repost @zachery.schubert Looking fire tonight with the sprouts! If you don't care about B12 or health just keep scrolling. I love ranting about this shit.... If you wanna be plant-man do it right and grab yourself the methylcobalamin form of vitamin B12 and not the cyanocobalamin form. Its safer and your body absorbs it more efficiently. Or If you wanna save some cash just have @griloprotein immunity boost! You're probably thinking should vegans eat crickets? Well here's my opinion, can humans make b12? Yes, but they can't absorb the b12 they make. Did the earliest form of herbivorous eat insects to get their b12? Yes, but some can make their own B12. Cave men would of also ate insects because, let's be honest, killing animals was dangerous and hard work. Why shouldn't I take cyanocobalamin? Because its made from cyanide, which is highly toxic. Its more complicated than that because some people are vegan because they care about animals. Which is awesome and super important! But I'm not talking about animal lives, I'm just talking about the healthier/safest form of B12 and if it's sustainable. 10.01.2022 Raise your hands if you can't wait to wake up tomorrow morning just to have breakfast and coffee! Repost and recipe by @henrynankivell Loving this date & tahini combo at the moment. Here I've used it in this warming buckwheat porridge recipe. My biggest tip for making this is to get yoursef some really good quality, runny tahini (which can be found at international food shops). Recipe link is in my bio, and I've also copied it for you below ... . 1/2 cup buckwheat groats, soaked overnight in water 1/4 cup desiccated coconut 1 cup unsweetened almond milk 1 tablespoon @griloprotein cricket powder 1/4 tsp cinnamon Pinch sea salt 2 medjool dates, chopped 2 tablespoons tahini 1 tablespoon date syrup . Drain the buckwheat, and rinse it under running water. In a saucepan, combine the buckwheat, coconut, almond milk, @griloprotein cricket powder, cinnamon and salt. Bring to a gentle simmer, and cook, stirring regularly, for 5 - 10 minutes, or until the buckwheat is cooked. Top with the dates, tahini and date syrup See more

09.01.2022 Repost @the_well_being__ . I have been writing a long winded caption about sustainable protein and the benefits of considering bug consumption. I believe it is something that anyone who consumes meat or dairy for its protein benefits should be open to, for those who educate themselves, you will quickly see why doing so will benefit the planet and your health. After writing an essay, I figured anyone genuinely interested and open to the idea will probably do their own re...search and @griloprotein have detailed it all so well on their website. Importantly (to me at least ) is the fact that they ensure their crickets are sourced from a farm that lets them live as naturally as possible and then harvests them at the end of their life (when they begin chirping) [a privileged that is certainly deprived of most meat stocks and dairy animals] Check out their website for some great info and read on if you’re interested in how unsustainable animal proteins are and FYI, these bars passed the @j_brammall taste test Meat and dairy consumption [which includes whey protein]: contributes HUGELY to green house gas emissions which is a major issue for global warming + uses excessive amounts of water + is a major cause of land degradation and deforestation + which can then cause water contamination or declines in water quality + requires enough grain to feed billions of hungry humans + is almost always packaged in plastic + (meat) requires refrigeration and spoils quickly, contribution to food waste Furthermore, most meat is pumped full of antibiotics/hormones and (in case you missed it) the meat industry is a huge risk for spreading disease and illness [no it’s not just bats, remember swine flu avian flu and common food poisoning events and parasite infestations].

05.01.2022 Winter dish inspo! Curry chicken flavoured with our Immunity Boost Super Seasoning! Winter can't get better than this! Repost and recipe by @henrynankivell... . New recipe is up (link in bio)! Just made this easy chicken curry and it was so good. On the table in less than an hour, and with the addition of @griloprotein immunity boost spice blend, this is a great one to try. I've copied the recipe for you below Ingredients: 3 tabelspoons coconut oil 600g chicken thighs, cut into bite sized cubes . CURRY PASTE : 1 large onion, chopped 3 garlic cloves, chopped 1 red chilli, seeds removed 2 tbsp tomato paste 2 tsp @griloprotein Immunity blend 1 tsp cumin 1 tsp coriander 1 tsp garam masala 1 tsp paprika Good pinch of sea salt . 400g coconut cream 250g tinned tomatoes . Add all the curry paste ingredients to a food processor and blitz to a paste. Set aside. . In a large casserole pot over a medium-high heat, add the coconut oil and chicken, and cook the chicken for about 4 minutes, until it has a bit of colour. Remove from the pot and set aside. Turn the heat down to low. Add the curry paste and cook, stirring regularly, for about 5 minutes until fragrant. Add the chicken back to the pot along with the coconut cream, tomatoes and a good splash of water. Let simmer gently for about 25 minutes. Serve See more

04.01.2022 We love sharing our customers recipes made with the Super Seasoning! Repost @yumyumtime_. Chorizo, chicken & black bean soup A big bowl of hot, chunky soup is the ultimate cure for winter blues. Onions, capsicum and carrots simmered with black beans in a rich tomato broth. The added chorizo, smoked paprika and ground chipotle gives a delicious smokiness, and I’ve added shredded chicken breast to bump up the protein and make this a truly satisfying meal.... I’ve added extra flavour with @griloprotein Immunity Boost Super Seasoning, which contains immune-supportive organic spices such as turmeric, garlic, ginger and cayenne. The best (secret) ingredient is the added cricket powder; an amazing source of vitamin B12, protein, iron, and all 9 essential amino acids (making it the ideal ‘complete protein’ source). I’ve added 1 tablespoon of this into the soup; it works as a delicious spice blend with tonnes of hidden benefits.
