02.01.2022 Meet James Why did you become a Physio? I played soccer for many years in South Australia's top league and had many injuries. Those experiences helped me to develop a passion for Physio and now I want to help other people return to their sport and regain their strength, conditioning, balance and endurance.... Do you have any special interest areas? I love the diagnosis and treatment of soccer and hockey injuries.I also enjoy treating the shoulder. Through my previous roles I am experienced in treating post-operative conditions and love tailoring specific rehab programs for clients returning from hospital. What do you do when you are not working? Outside the clinic I love playing hockey and indoor soccer, reading and writing, and seeking out Melbourne’s best coffee.

02.01.2022 Ending the week by catching up with one of my inspirations and mentors in the Physio realm! Francine works at Epworth Hospital as a senior physiotherapist specialising in cardiovascular rehab. What distinguishes her from other clinicians is not only her intellect or solid knowledge in her field but rather her immense ability to sincerely listen, empathise and make everyone around her feel understood. Thank you, Francine, for a great boost of motivation and a gentle reminder... that KINDNESS comes before all other aspects of being a health professional! #mentor #cardiovascular #epworth #teacher #university #kindness #healthcareprofessional #physio #backgroundfail See more
