22.01.2022 Just a little spiel on one of our awesome bands Sugarwood is a 5-piece indie/alternative rock band that have come together from very different walks of life with the common goal of making noise! Two brothers have returned to their hometown after growing up in Humpty Doo, Darwin to join forces with three Perth locals to form the quirky indie rock outfit. They have recently placed 1st in Defeat the beat 2019, have been interviewed and played live for BOOM Radio and are curre...ntly gigging around town, spending a lot more time in the studio and writing new material to refresh their set. In addition to this, they are in the workings of producing some merch. Sugarwood love to see the crowd having fun brownie points for dancing like a mammal! Filled with angsty lyrics and driving bass, Girl From Mars draws their inspiration from the likes of Camp Cope, Courtney Barnett and Ruby Fields.
