19.01.2022 Have you seen the changes to the way bush fires are displayed on the NSW RFS website and the Fires Near Me NSW app. New icons will be used for Advice, Watch and Act, and Emergency Warning on the NSW RFS website and Fires Near Me NSW smartphone app. The changes are part of the new Australian Warning System which is designed to bring consistency to the display of information and warnings for bushfires, floods, severe weather, extreme heat and cyclones across the country.... YELLOW, ORANGE and RED icons will be used for Advice, Watch and Act, and Emergency Warning. The icons may have changed but the names of the alert levels and what they mean remain the same.
