21.01.2022 Kokedama is a bonsai art, which has its origins in Japan. It is a ball of soil, covered with moss, in which a plant grows. In this workshop, you will learn the art of Kokedama. Brooke will guide you through the preparation of materials, layering and wrapping of a large size kokedama (so that you can easily replicate with any size at home) as well as how to look after your Kokedama for months and years to come. You will create your own individual masterpiece using natural ma...terials such as moss & husk. These string garden beauties also make a great low maintenance styling piece for your home or work environment. Class sizes will be limited to 15 participants (min. 5 students) and are suitable for teenagers and adults. No previous experience is necessary. . DM @driftcreativeco for bookings. . 06.01.2022 Hello everyone, a message from @thegreenmarquee We are so sorry to let you know that The Green Marquee has been cancelled as of this week and all future markets are cancelled. Unfortunately the landowner adjoining Ground Currumbin has withdrawn their consent. With no resolution we have received notice today that trading cannot go ahead and we will not be able to reopen The Green Marquee.... Both Ground and The Green Marquee are devastated by this decision. We have loved putting on this community event over the last 3 years and feel very sad to see things come to an end this way. We want to thank everyone who has supported us, cheered for us and helped make The Green Marquee such a beautiful market. We have met so many wonderful small business owners who have been so dedicated to what they do and create, all with such a wonderful focus on sustainability. We have emailed all our stalls holders directly but if we missed you for some reason please email us. We hope everyone will get behind Ground Currumbin and the amazing businesses within this precinct as they grow. A big thank you to Ground and Pete for giving us this opportunity, we are really grateful for all that it has brought us. . 03.01.2022 Shaping up for a beautiful kids craft and story time today celebrating #naidocweek with the gorgeous book Welcome to Country. . After looking at countless temporary structures over the last 2 months we settled on this funky geodesic dome to house @ground_grocer whilst the shed gets renovated over the next 6-8 months. It's going to be cozy, but cool. Ground Grocer has also been certified as Ocean Friendly and inducted into the Surfrider Foundation's list of cool businesses! ...Thanks Jack for pushing us to fill in the boxes! . We’re so proud to be working with Dane and the team @eco__struct on the bathhouse build. Thanks for your continuing patience whilst these works go on. We can’t really keep it under wraps any more as the design reveals itself during construction. Aiming for mid December completion, stay tuned! . Phew, is it coffee time yet? See more
