18.01.2022 What a lovely Spring day to help out residents with maintaining & replenishing their existing verge gardens! Our activities included weeding, soil improving/fertilizing, re-mulching, irrigation repairs and planting of more seedlings! We are now looking forward to constructing new verge gardens for more residents over the next 3 to 4 months!

13.01.2022 We have had a few big weekends with verge garden installations! Lots of driving to pick up edging, soil and seedling and so much digging. We now have gardens on: Clifford Street, Ethelton - Hall Street, Semaphore - Lincoln Street, Rosewater - Pritchard Street, Largs North - 209 Port Road, Queenstown (on the Long Street facing verge). Our grant funding is now all committed, and as its nearing the end of optimal planting season well be taking a break from insta...lls until Spring planting time. We will continue to do verge garden installs for those willing to pay for materials/seedlings required for set up, and hopefully we can line up some further funding from the council to support this project so that we can continue to set them up with zero cost to owner. Thanks so much to all of our vergie gardeners! We are very much looking forward to sampling your produce!

13.01.2022 We were very honoured to have been nominated for an Australia Day Award for Emerging Event/Community Group from the City of Port Adelaide Enfield. Our nomination came with an invite to the Citizenship and Award Ceremony this evening, where we were humbled to see our newest citizens get sworn in (amazing!) and to hear about the fantastic and hard work of many other volunteers and members of our community.
