Our Associate Che Biggs bares some of what happens for him around conflict: When I’m in conflict with someone (including with myself), there’s this ache that sits within my whole body. It’s a strange feeling. There might be anger, shame or good old pigheadedness, yeah sure, but when I try to put words to how it feels, there’s this sense of being unfulfilled. It’s like a story needing an audience, a magnet with nothing to hol...d to or an incomplete circle. Chances are, those I’m in conflict with feel the same. Given this sense of un-fulfilment, when holding space in a conflict clearing, I think of my facilitator role as that of a pathfinder. I’m trying to help guide people’s different stories to each other; to acknowledge and becoming a larger whole.
