25.01.2022 In general terms, you are considered to be in financial hardship if you want to pay your bills but have insufficient money to do so. Suppliers of essential services are legally obliged to assist you (if you are experiencing financial difficulty) with flexible payment arrangements. Banks and othe lenders are required to consider offering you flexible payment arrangements. Other service providers, like insurance and phone companies, may provide their customers with financial h...ardship arrangements for bill and debt payment. It is worthwhile contacting your creditors when you are having difficulty paying and asking if you can negotiate changed payment arrangements while you are in financial difficulty.

25.01.2022 10 things that define a true professional You may be a brilliant developer, a highly skilled net admin, or a crackerjack DBA -- but if youre unprofessional, your career is likely to fall short. Alan Norton offers some attributes to strive for. The term professional is thrown around quite a bit these days, perhaps too much. I do it myself. But what exactly does it mean to be a professional? As you read through the items below, consider how you compare with each trait.... Put customer satisfaction first Make expertise your specialty Do more than expected Do what you say and say what you can do Communicate effectively Follow exceptional guiding principles Praise your peers not yourself Share your knowledge Say thank you Keep a smile on your face and the right attitude in your heart

20.01.2022 Avoid being OVERDUE with your Electricity Company Your power supplier will average out your payments so you pay the same amount throughout the year. Some providers even offer a discount for paying by a particular method. You choose your payment date to match your own pay or salary cycle, then pay that same amount on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.

19.01.2022 Hardship programs for gas, electricity and water bills. If you are having difficulty paying your gas, electricity or water bills, you should contact your utility company and ask for flexible payments and details of any other assistance programs to make payment more affordable for your current circumstances. Providers of your gas, electricity and water supply services are required by law to offer: ... processes for early response to payment difficulties; and flexible bill payment options; and audits of customer usage; and flexible options for the purchase of replacement energy appliances.

17.01.2022 Set up your OWN Payment Plan To save having to pay large amounts when your bill comes in the mail you can set up your own payment plan by using BPAY. Calculate how much you spend on your Telephone, Electricity or Council Rates and spread your payments through out the year in weekly, fortnightly or monthly instalments.... For example: If you have a bill of $326.10 (as shown) each month, set up a recurring BPAY in your online banking for $50.00 each pay day. When the bill comes you will only have $126.10 to pay. This does NOT need to be approved from your supplier as they will take your money freely.

17.01.2022 Yvonne (our Finance Manager) participated in the Ride to Conquer Cancer, which was a 2 day bike (push bike that is) ride from St Lucia to Samford and back. 2 DAYS. 200 KILOMETRES. Over some extremely hilly roads. Yvonne may not have finished the event, but as far as we are concerned she is a champion for even participating. Further to that Yvonne raised over $2500 for Cancer Research. Congratulations.

14.01.2022 Local sponsorship & support Lots of companies help out their local Neighbourhood Watch and Home Watch schemes, either with funding or in-kind resources such as printing, photocopying, use of meeting rooms, legal and marketing advice, catering, or products and services relating to your business or organisation. Its a great way for local businesses to forge links with their communities and contribute to making those communities the best places they can be. Remember, all the p...eople in Neighbourhood Watch and Home Watch groups volunteer their time and energies for that reason. You might feel that you simply want to do the same. But there are lots of business incentives too. The links you form with local people may mean they bring their private business to you later. You can also offer your services in exchange for publicity. And when Neighbourhood Watch and Home Watch groups are successful, they can improve areas to such an extent that property prices go up and local funding and investment opportunities increase.

09.01.2022 Over the past 40 years, significant physical and social changes have reduced the connectivity between neighbours that our parents and grandparents enjoyed. Most households require all adults to work to pay the rent or mortgage and stay afloat, which means there are fewer people at home during the day. More time is spent in front of the television, computer or video game. ... Larger homes mean we are farther apart. Our lives and towns reflect increasing dependence on cars, and the isolation it brings. Front porches have largely disappeared as a place for social interaction. The fence in the backyard is no longer considered unfriendly but a normal component of new homes. Getting to know the people who live around you makes the community safer, one where people look out for each other. Only you can get to know your neighbours and build the safe connected community where you want to live.
