24.01.2022 Hey you mob. Wearing masks, getting tested and social distancing all make a huge difference in our fight against COVID-19. These are simple things we can all do... to help to keep ourselves, friends and family safe, but don’t forget to stay connected. It’s really important we reach into your supports right now, and if you want to chat to mob anonymously, we’d encourage you to call Yarning Safe'n'Strong. They’re available 7 days a week - all hours. Be safe you mob, and look after each other. For more information on COVID-19 go to http://www.vaccho.org.au/about-us/coronavirus/

18.01.2022 Hello all, Hope everyone is doing well and that everyone's spirits are high. Sharing some information about a free program run by Geelong Youth.... Designed to suit young people between 16-25 who want to enhance their skills to increase employment opportunities and pathways to work.

17.01.2022 Coronavirus doesn't have a language barrier and that means we can't afford to either. Last week, I caught up with journalists from Victoria's multicultural me...dia outlets. They're helping make sure that everyone in our diverse community knows how to play their part, slow the spread and keep everyone safe. It's a big job and I can't thank you enough.

16.01.2022 Getting to a drive-through or walk-in testing site isn't the most accessible option for everyone. That's why we've introduced the 'Call-to-Test' service. An in-...home testing service for those with injuries, disabilities or who have difficulty travelling - and would otherwise be unable to leave home to be tested. If you live in a Stage 4 restrictions area, have symptoms, and you're eligible for the service, a qualified health clinician will visit within 48 hours of your call. You'll be able to isolate safely at home, and help slow the spread. No one should miss out on a getting a coronavirus test when they need one. And this way, they won't.

11.01.2022 Today - August 28 - is Wear It Purple Day. Wear it Purple Day is about showing LGBTQIA+ young people that they have the right to be proud of who they are. To people seeking safety who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community; we see you, we stand with you, and you matter! #WearItPurpleDay # #WeAreTheChange

06.01.2022 Just a quick update on what we announced today for renters and landlords: We've extended the ban on evictions and rental increases until the end of the year s...o if you fall behind or you're doing it tough because of coronavirus, you can't be evicted. And we've boosted new residential Rental Relief Grants up to $3,000 for tenants and landlords too if you've already received a $2,000 grant, you could be eligible for an additional $1,000. Land tax relief has doubled to 50% for eligible landlords, and a new $60 million relief fund has been established for small commercial landlords struggling to cover their costs. We're making things fairer for small business owners too, and rent reductions will now be based on the financial situation of each business. And the Small Business Commissioner now has new powers to enforce rent reductions where an agreement can't be reached. We don't want people worrying about the roof over their head or stressing over the rent right now. And these changes give Victorians a bit of extra security while we fight this pandemic.
