25.01.2022 Tonight we visited the Barrett family for Tiger Lotto draw number 5. Adam Barrett, owner of Barrett Painting, is a long time supporter and sponsor of our club ...and is also a past player known for his silky skills and one hilarious incident at North Shore Congratulations to our lucky winners this week: team Resiplex Second place, taking home a meat pack from Grovedale Quality Meats is Brad Meehan. As a result of the government announcement today, we’ll be putting Tiger Lotto on hold until we can get out and visit our sponsors. As soon as restrictions lift, we’ll be back to complete the rest of our draws. Stay safe everyone

23.01.2022 Even if you have the slightest sniffle or cough- if you're a parent or a player, isolate and stay home. We all have to play our part so the 2020 junior season i...sn't jeopardised. Familiarise yourself with the latest protocols to ensure you're doing the right thing COVID-19 Resources: http://www.aflbarwon.com.au/covid-19-resources/

22.01.2022 Thanks to those who attended our virtual meet and greet tonight for our Womens Cricket Team. Don't forget Sundays Meet and Greet IN PERSON. This is a great chance to get out of the house and be social in a covid safe setup. Bring a friend along and come and meet some new people.

22.01.2022 Late in the week, AFL Barwon announced that as a result of the spike in COVID cases, the Epworth Senior Women’s Football competition and the GForce under 19 foo...tball and netball seasons would be cancelled for 2020. We are disappointed that these teams won’t get a start this year, especially given the hard work everyone has put in during an extended pre-season and even as individuals during lock-down. However, we’re also very conscious that the health and safety of people in our region is what has driven this decision. We encourage players to maintain contact and look forward to seeing you all ready to go again in season 2021

21.01.2022 Round 1 is finally here! Good luck to everyone participating in junior matches this weekend. Our club volunteers, team managers and coaching staff have been working hard to ensure junior football can return in a safe and healthy manner. We all have to do our bit to ensure it remains. Parents, carers and spectators please remember the covid protocols the club and team managers have passed onto you and look out for one another. #LetsPlay #GoTigers

21.01.2022 How good was it to have footy back over the weekend! Well done to all the coaches, team managers, officials and volunteers for ensuring Round 1 went smoothly. Thank you to our parents, carers and families for abiding by the covid protocols. We appreciate your support during these unprecedented times. And finally, congratulations to all our players. To see the smiles on your faces throughout the games, some wearing the yellow and black for the first time, makes all this craziness worthwhile. #gotigers

19.01.2022 Get your mask on! Thanks to those who wore one this weekend. From tonight it's a must when outside your home. Wear it and stay safe.

18.01.2022 A reminder to all our members: If a player or a family member is awaiting COVID-19 test results, players and their families are asked not to attend any training sessions or matches. Please remember that if anyone is feeling unwell or showing symptoms please stay away from sporting facilities and get tested.

17.01.2022 This week, Tiger Lotto draw number 3 comes to you from Geelong Milk and Pivot Ice. Congratulations James Second place, taking home a meat pack from Grovedale Quality Meats, is Michael Barratt Tune in, same time next week, when we'll be filming at Town and Country Pizza Waurn Ponds

14.01.2022 Under 9 Grovedale Hauenstein Award Winners. Round 1- Xavier Hulston, Jack Lewis, Lachlan Riley. Round 3- Koby Moores, Mitchell Sutherland. Thank you to South Barwon player Harry for coming across from the opposition to play for us. That’s a great display of football spirit!

11.01.2022 A reminder for this weekends matches, you can ONLY attend junior sport this weekend if you are "necessary to support participation". We understand there is rightfully much excitement about seeing our juniors back playing, but please don't attend unless you are absolutely necessary. Players and officials are reminded to get in and get out for your game only and please do not hang around post game or come earlier than necessary to watch other games.... We don't want to have our competition be put in jeopardy due to spectator numbers. Let's all do our bit in 2020 #letsplay

10.01.2022 A perfect night for football as under 9 Grovedale Gemmill played under lights for the first time! The boys had some tough competitors but didn't let that stop them having a good go. Well done

10.01.2022 Our under 9s trained under a double rainbow tonight

09.01.2022 Junior football training this week is still on for all age groups as scheduled until further notice. #LetsPlayJunior football training this week is still on for all age groups as scheduled until further notice. #LetsPlay

09.01.2022 Yesterday was Kempe Read The Play Round for our Under 15 junior footballers. Mental health, particularly in younger people, has never been more important than during this Covid-19 pandemic. As part of this round, matches are played with a special white Read the Play football which is to be presented to the ‘Read the Play’ Player of the Round. Congratulations to this years winner Clementine Mills whom displayed the Read the Play message of ‘Speak Up, Speak Out and Protect’. Well done Clementine and well done to all the girls from Grovedale Jen for a great game of football.

04.01.2022 As a result of the recent Government announcements of Stage 3 restrictions coming into effect for our region for the next six weeks, all Junior Football and Net...ball competitions have been cancelled for the remainder of the 2020 season. Although not surprising, it is still very disappointing for all involved in junior sport. We would like to thank all players and their families for their efforts in adhering to COVID protocols at both training and on game days. As a club, we want to acknowledge the incredible hard work of our committee members, coaches, team managers and club volunteers who have put in a power of time and effort to our club during really challenging times. Although it was tough, it was all worthwhile to see our juniors training and playing with friends and having a chance to do what they love. Emails will be sent to junior families in coming days with details on how to return jumpers and playing equipment. In the meantime, stay safe and well and we can’t wait to get everyone back together as soon as we are allowed
