23.01.2022 Hula hoops develop core strength Performing the hula hip motion while keeping the hoop up at the trunk requires abdominal, oblique, and upper back muscle recruitment. These are big core muscles that we all need to stand and sit upright. Keeping the trunk muscles strong will help with posture, endurance, and total body coordination.

22.01.2022 Puzzles are definitely one of our favourite learning experiences! It is a great way to support the development of early mathematical skills, problem solving abilities, attention to detail, perseverance, collaboration and teamwork and so much more. We enjoy puzzles by ourselves, with our friends, big puzzles, small puzzles, even upside down puzzles!
22.01.2022 Great news for all of our families.
21.01.2022 Meet the Staff Monday. Rachael our Chef joined our team this year. She is passionate about food and loves cooking. Rachael likes experimenting with creative desserts and pastries. Rachael makes all our meals fresh daily, including pure for our youngest children. The children become very excited to see Chef Rachael as she brings around the meals to the rooms. Chef Rachael was made a beautiful tie dye chef jacket by our Pre Kinder children which she wears with pride and has a kitchen full of artwork from her young fans.

19.01.2022 When children create their own books it is exciting and fun and begins a lifelong love of books. As they make their own book they learn book handling skills, book structure, create a personal connection to books and build print awareness.
18.01.2022 Peek a Boo. What a wonderful game, do you know all the learning involved for a child while playing peek a boo? Peek a boo stimulates a childs senses, builds gross motor skills, strengthens their visual tracking and encourages their social development. Peek a boo also teaches object permanence; the idea that even though they cant see something it still exist.

16.01.2022 IF YOU WILL NEED US WHEN THIS PANDEMIC IS OVER, THEN WE NEED YOU NOW! Important message for those who have children enrolled in an early learning or child care centre. DONT UN-ENROL them to save money. Theres actually financial support you can receive... There is so much uncertainty in the world at the moment and so many people are losing their jobs, please dont add your childs educators to that list.... Talk to your centre/educator first. There are a number of things in place from services as well as the government to help families and to stop child care services from going bankrupt but these measures are only helpful if the children STAY ENROLLED. Firstly, if you or your partner has lost their job or had your wages cut, you can go on to your MyGov page and apply for temporary financial hardship. This means that the government may pay your childcare fees in FULL for 13 weeks. There are also increased allowable absences available to families as well as extended periods for discounted rates! The government has also committed to paying the CCS portion of the fees in the event that the services do go in to lock down. What this means for services is that we can keep paying our educators, our rent, etc etc etc. It means that at the end of all of this, there will be services (FDC services and centres) to send your children to. Speak to your Centre Director and Family Day Care Educator. Find out your options, BEFORE just pulling your children out. https://mobile.abc.net.au//childcare-coronavirus/12105704

15.01.2022 Hi Goodstart families! As you know the Government announced today that the free childcare package will expire on 12 July and that the CCS system will return f...rom 13 July, along with new transition measures (up until October) to support the sector and parents as they move back to the subsidy. This announcement is a little bit complex so we are working hard to understand what this means for our families and for Goodstart. We will provide an update to our centres and our families later today and over the coming days as we learn more. #5weekstogo! See more
14.01.2022 Mindfulness cubby.... our children love cubbies! Having mindfulness items and activities available for children can help with their emotional regulation. They are simple to make and something you can also do at home.
14.01.2022 Hands-on engineering activities empower young children to see themselves as problem solvers. The Prekinder children were challenged to construct a bridge from paddlepop sticks and paper cups. The children worked independently and in small groups to design their bridges. A guinea pig toy was then used to check the stability of the designs.
13.01.2022 We wish you all a very safe and Happy Easter from our office team - Tanya, Lauren, Gemma and Rachael.

06.01.2022 Storytelling and the re-telling of familiar texts is a great experience for oral language development. Not only does it extend the enjoyment of books and reading, but it is a fun way for children to develop and improve specific language components such as syntactic, semantic and pragmatics. Do you recognise the story being told here?
05.01.2022 Exploring the benefits of sensory play... From birth to early childhood, children use their five senses to explore and try to make sense of the world around them. Its an important part of early childhood development, and providing opportunities for children to actively use their senses as they explore their world through sensory play is crucial to brain development.
