20.01.2022 This year's theme for National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Children's Day is "We are the Elders of tomorrow - Hear our voice". Although we would love t...o get together and share songs and stories with our kids, this year we are keeping our mob safe by staying home. So, this year we got some of our Milla Milla playgroup and community kids to join us online for a Zoom singing session in Waddawurrung language! Listen to the voices of our Elders of tomorrow. Happy National Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Children's Day everybody - Gobata (take care). #NATSIChildrensDay2020 #EldersOfTomorrow #StrongInCulture

18.01.2022 We hope you have had a fantastic holiday! We look forward to seeing all students back at school tomorrow, Monday 5th October, for a 9am start. Please remember that children require an individual drink bottle. Year 3-6 students are released at 3:15pm, and P-2 students are released at 3:20pm. All adults must wear face coverings and remain at least 1.5m apart while picking up and collecting students. We know it might be a bit nerve-wracking for some students to return after such a long break, and we have planned a program which will be very welcoming, will help children re-connect with their peers and the school, and will be lots of fun. If you have any concerns, please get in touch.

12.01.2022 A note has just gone out on SENTRAL reminding all parents/carers to ensure students have their broad rimmed sun hat with them at school and a labelled water bottle. We are a water-only school, as we know that water helps children operate at their best, both academically and physically, when they are well hydrated. Please ensure they have their drink bottle with them each day, as the water fountains are closed as a COVID precaution, so a number are coming to the office for cup...s. We appreciate you supporting us to providing our students with a safe and healthy lifestyle. Kind regards

02.01.2022 https://www.facebook.com/watch/ Dear Parents, Carers and Friends, Mental health will be a top priority during remote learning. Here is a really powerful way to loook at our current circumstances through a new lens. It's a long video at 8 minutes, but well worth it. I would also encourage you to watch this with your children and discuss how we can learn to have control over our feelings about what is happening around us. ... Stay well!

02.01.2022 COVID update Dear Parents and Carers, The Victorian Government has released its plan for easing coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions. It includes important decisions about school operations. I can confirm the following for you:... * We will continue to provide remote learning for the remainder of Term 3. * Week 1 of term 4 - Remote learning will continue with the same guidelines for on-site supervision. * Beginning Week 2 of Term 4 - Schools can begin to stagger students to return to full time on site between Monday the 12th and Friday the 16th of October. This decision will be made by individual schools or in networks/clusters of schools. I will post more detailed information about Week 2 at Grovedale PS as soon as we get updated advice from the Department of Education (which will guide our decision making). I know this is an anxious time for everyone. We are keen to have students back on site and will get confirmed information to you as soon as we have it. Stay well, stay safe, stay connected, Tina Barnett
