19.01.2022 The Give Where You Live Foundation & G21 Geelong Region Alliance are proud to announce GROW has won a prestigious acknowledgement at Victorian Leadership in the Public Sector awards. GROW was named winner of the policy development category at the Institute of Public Administration Australia IPAA Victoria awards in Melbourne last night. IPAA CEO David Ali said GROW was an excellent project, which pushed boundaries and demonstrates what success in public administration looks like
18.01.2022 At the GROW Compact Action Network last Friday we heard from GROW compact signatories Barwon Health, Barwon Water, City of Greater Geelong and Barwon Asset Solutions about their supportive traineeship programs, and Barwon Water, Localised and ArcBlue discussed practical strategies for local social procurement. Thanks to everyone for their contributions, and fantastic practical insights!

16.01.2022 On Thursday, 2 May, GROW signatories and partners celebrated the 2019 GROW Report Card, held at the new Baptcare Coasthaven Community facility in Norlane. Our 3rd report revealed there are now 110 Compact Signatories (72 with action plans) providing 112 jobs and 20 employment pathways to job seekers from GROW target communities. They told us: "What has happened since joining GROW in 2018 is how quickly and efficiently weve been able to make connections. This has led to a range of outcomes including job carving, enabling employment of young people with barriers to work. We have looked at social enterprises and changed our spending habits. We need more GROW supporters to identify ANY future opportunity(s) that can be posted in Localised This includes any projects or needs you have coming up in the next 12-18 months that you can let suppliers know about. We want your procurements both large and small. Think infrastructure, building and civil works, graphic design, we...b development, professional services, commercial facilities management, IT purchasing, logistics and trades services. Letting local suppliers know of your upcoming projects is a great way to leverage your spending by helping local suppliers build capacity, compliance and competitiveness. It is simple.
