22.01.2022 Adventurers Room this week started to learn about pollution and recycling. This was sparked by an interest in recycled items used to create our role play setup in the previous weeks. We have been looking at what each bin colour represents and looked at the recycling symbols on different items. We are learning that recycling means reusing unwanted items again or turning it into something new to decrease landfill on our earth. The preschoolers were all involved in the conversations and showed some knowledge about this topic. This is great for building the scaffolds for future years and ensuring we teach them to save our earth.

We are sailing through this week with lots of fun pirate themed games and activities for a wonderful charity who helps support families with children affected by cancer. ALL HANDS ON DECK!!!!! 17.01.2022 This week the children participated in Activathon!! The children and educators had so much fun participating in the fun planned physical experiences we had!!! We are super excited for our award ceremony next week!

17.01.2022 Toddlers spending a day pretending to be at the ocean, looking for sea animals, helping sea animals, and watching to see if another ship or danger is near their vessel. Hard days work for these sailors/ marine biologists.

11.01.2022 The Adventurers room has been learning about being sustainable and have decided to grow their own vegetables for our veggie garden. The children picked one vegetable they would like to grow and planted their own seeds on cotton wool. They have been observing them sprout and are beginning to learn about a plants life cycle. They are very excited everyday to come and look at what has changed with their seeds.

07.01.2022 The Little Explorers (LE) were helping Miss Lilli paint a farm barn for their farm. Through this experience the Little Explorers learnt about teamwork, developed their hand eye coordination, but most of all the feeling of paint texture in their fingers...think the next activity will need to be finger painting

05.01.2022 Our new smart board arrived and our school readiness group absolutely love it. They had fun exploring it with Miss Lauren and practiced copying letters and their names on the board with their fingers.

05.01.2022 A Spontaneous activity during our outdoor play, trying out our new parachute this morning. It was a great family grouping experience as both our Little Explorers and Adventurers both shared in the experience. We added balls which added to the laughters and giggles. Children built on their relationships and social interactions during this play whilst exercising their listening skills and gross motor coordination and control. We had a great time!

05.01.2022 The birth of the snakes ... they are ready to find their homes in the Reptile Park. Children having such concentration when creating their own snakes for the Reptile Park (which is being built by their peers) whilst fine tuning their cutting skills (finger control and eye- hand coordination).

02.01.2022 IT’S BEEN SPOOKY AT GROW KILLARNEY

02.01.2022 Today we had a special visit from one of our fathers who is a Fire Fighter. He did such a good job teaching the children about good and bad fires, what fire fighters do and about what to do in a fire GET DOWN LOW AND GO GO GO! We can’t thank him enough for the special educational talk he did with the children. Everyone was listening nicely and actively participating.
