24.01.2022 Castlemaine Seed Library and The Hub Plot are such assets to our community

23.01.2022 Great day at the Farmer's market, thanks to everyone who came along to support Growing Abundance and a big thanks to our Compost trader volunteers for making the time to help out today. We are pleased to announce we sold out within a few hours, so get your pre-orders in for next time it's apparently a pretty popular product!

18.01.2022 Committee of Management Update Our AGM approaches and in the lead up the incumbent Committee of Management wanted to make the following statement; Greetings,... We want to make it clear ahead of our upcoming AGM that what is required is for at least 4 and ideally 6 people to step up onto the Committee of Management and take on the Positions of President/Chair, Secretary and Treasurer at the very least. None of the current committee will continue. Following the closure and reconciliation of previous TGAP business endeavours and conservative stewardship of financial governance and endeavouring to secure further community support for ongoing activities we have collectively decided to pass the baton to another cohort of Mt Alexander residents to reimagine and reenergise the possibilities for future initiatives. If a quorum of members cannot be voted in then the current committee will commence the process to wind up the organisation. If a new Committee can be voted in then they need to be clear that they will have to accept and own the carriage of all the Governance and Financial responsibilities for the organisation as well as developing and delivering a community engagement strategy that enables the design of projects that meet community needs. There remains a small amount of money in the bank and some key assets. However, no new projects can be started without new sources of income from Government or Philanthropic grants. This will be a key responsibility for the new committee to focus on. In order to answer any more detailed questions we will be holding an information session; When : Tuesday 1st December at 5.30pm Where: The Hub Plot garden (through the green gates behind the Hub Plot at 233 Templeton Street, Castlemaine) Best regards Chris Hain TGAP Chairperson
