10.01.2022 Did you know it's Threatened Species Day? Australia is home to many plants and animals that can't be found anywhere else in the world. Unfortunately, many of th...ese species are endangered - just like this Kroombit Treefrog. But did you know that YOU could be part of the solution? Citizen Science is becoming a very effective way to track these species so scientists can understand how and why they are becoming endangered. They can even find ways to save them! Why not join the #NaturePlayQLDBioBlitz and head out on an endangered species hunt this weekend? You could make a discovery that could help save a species! It's the perfect time to talk to your kids or class about endangered species and how they can make an impact. You can find out everything you need to join here https://natureplayqld.org.au/nature-play-qld-bioblitz You can also find a list here of endangered species right here in Queensland https://environment.des.qld.gov.au//threatened-/endangered #NaturePlayQLDBioBlitz
