24.01.2022 GNF Australia supplied food last week to the most marginalised, disabled dalits. Thanks to Society For Humanism (Soch) Nepal and our partners in Mohattari for coordination.

15.01.2022 Growing Nepal Foundation Australia is happy to announce that we have secured a wonderful solar lights partnership with a Brisbane charity that has supplied 180,000 lights to the third world! And they will now supply solar lights to us! These lights enable poor students to re-engage with schools and do schoolwork at night. And the storage units for lights can be used as water tanks! When covid restrictions permit we can receive our first shipment from India hopefully in a few ...months. Then to trial the use of the lights we are working with schools in Ktm connected to slums where needy kids reside. When we are happy with our Light Up Nepal efforts in Ktm these study solar lights will then be provided through schools in Terai. We havent forgotten our dalits or women in Terai. We are always trying to form partnerships here to achieve our aims. Our washable menstrual pad trainings with 20 Padbank trainers were going strongly until covid19 slowed them down. Lately we have provided food for dalit villagers in Mohattari. Growing Nepal Australia is still with you Nepal. Stay safe til we can see you again x See more

05.01.2022 Last night in a remote Nepal dalit (untouchable) village near the Indian border my charity Growing Nepal Foundation together with logistics from our fab partners Society for Humanism Nepal supplied and distributed food for 33 hungry households (about 250 ppl). Covid19 is impacting Nepal severely and especially these dalits, always the most maginalised. The villagers were happy to receive lentils rice spices oil and soap care packages. In a few months time covid19 permitting we start distribution and supply of solar lights across Nepal to dalit and ultra poor communities. Hopefully we can do another Return to White Chairs event (Vol 3) as planned this spring so we can raise more funds for more work. Always more plans in the pipeline and lots to do. I miss you Nepal. Hope to see you at end of year. X
