25.01.2022 Our number 1 fan!

24.01.2022 Well worth a share. Part of our interest in flow is in the conditions that surround the appearance of the construct. Prominent among these is positive emotion which is shown to arise from flow. With this in mind, the attached calendar and its daily positive activity might just help to put you in the zone for the appearance of flow. Note that this fabulous resource came to our attention via the folks at the positivity project :)

21.01.2022 A beginners activity to help grow your knowledge of the flow experience- and see why we love it. Read the following statement from The art of seeing by Csikszentmihlayi & Robinson (2000); 'It fixed my like a statue a quarter of an hour, or an hour, I don't know which for I lost all ideas of time, even the consciousness of my existence' Try to observe the following van Gogh painting and notice the way the painting impact's you?... If at any point during the 10-15 minutes you lost yourself in the 'seeing' of the painting then you experienced an important pre-requisite to flow experience- effortless attention. See more

20.01.2022 Enabling.... a word that often unjustifiably has a negative connotation. Love is enabling- creativity is enabling- and most of all, meaning in life is enabling Flow ENABLES is all those things

13.01.2022 Wisdom here. I do love a Venn. I especially like this idea of clarity of purpose and how that clarity then serves to engage and fire us into powerful action that has a basis in true belief. I have been a privileged observer of this effect in the one that I love the most. :)

12.01.2022 I'd like to sincerely thank our first interviewee for WeLOVEflow- we feel very inspired by your flow stories in your music production, comedy routine development and fiction story writing. To our followers, a journey began today- advocating for real positive experiences such as flow. We will begin the process of sharing with you our interviews of individuals of different ages, work and cultural backgrounds, who love what they do and experience flow in a sustainable and meaningful way. Much, much more to come shortly.....stay tuned!

11.01.2022 The flow experience is in every human being's DNA, waiting to be triggered off!The flow experience is in every human being's DNA, waiting to be triggered off!

07.01.2022 Flow can occur anywhere, anytime, to anyone.... even us at We Love Flow headquarters

04.01.2022 Exciting stuff here. One of the phenomena that brought us to the study of flow was positive emotion. For me, it was sitting in a huge drum circle with 100 people on a hill top in New Zealand as they simultaneously experienced pure joy. Participation in this experience raised a number of questions that I'm still trying to answer. 1. How is this high emotional state created? and; 2. What long term effect does this experience have on participants? The answer to the first questi...on is straightforward (we think). It's a shared flow experience. The answer to the second is still to be considered by our research efforts. A theory I have though is that behaviour is measureably changed as people search for these experiences again. More to be said on this in future posts. For now though, enjoy this insight into some exciting science. :) See more

03.01.2022 'Being able to get lost in my work with the kids because I'm so focused on them (p. 73)I honor that experience and wonder. It's a feeling of wonder' (p. 74)’ A reference of a teacher in flow from Caouette (1995) Do you remember a teacher that made you like the subject you were learning?

02.01.2022 Start from the viewpoint that everything that happens (or has happened) in your life is JUST information- bits of data, signs and signals humans exhibit in various situations (i.e, when angry or anxious) Be willing to practice observing the information you get (or feedback), considering both emotional AND non-emotional level parts-doing this you start to see both helpful and unhelpful feedback form both within and outside of yourself. Flow experiences aren’t far from there on......and repeat. (And yes the photo is upside down- notice and sit with your discomfort and also collect as much information about how you're experiencing this- try this process with 3 experiences every day- i.e. a tough conversation with your boss)
