24.01.2022 Big shout out to the fellow Torquay businesses owner, or so they told the police. Who called the police today, to complain about people sitting in the beer garden. These people were sitting, waiting for TAKEAWAY food. And abiding by social distancing rules. Not sure what the difference between standing OUTDOORS waiting and sitting OUTDOORS waiting is. ... But thanks for your concern and support. Hope to return the favour someday. CHEERS

We put up a sign and thanks to the generosity of our wonderful customers, our staff raised $1645. Which was matched by Ben (manager) and his wife Nina. We kicked in the same amount. 18.01.2022 When you have a child without a disability and they get good grades you are happy. For you it is a joy because, of course, they are your child and you are so proud of them. But when you have a child with some limitations, each and every one of his/her achievements and successes, no matter how minimal they are, give you a vibration like youve won the lottery!!! Your heart expands and fills with love and together you both explode with happiness. However, when someone tries... to hurt or make fun of your child, that love becomes an immense pain. I would like to ask you a favour on a very important subject: this is the week of special education for all people with disabilities, who struggle to succeed in life. Teach your children to be kind, to accept everyone, their classmates, friends, relatives, neighbours etc and that people with disabilities are not weird. They want what everybody wants: to be accepted, loved and to socialise, like everyone else. It takes a village to raise a child, and that means every child in every class. Every parent of every child - if you ask your child to avoid those special or different ones, then theyre the ones missing out, and youre the one that is perpetuating discrimination. Teach your child to be kind to everyone. Copy and paste in honour of all the children that are unique Thank you! Great sentiments Dmac, that we can all learn from and hopefully all live out.

15.01.2022 Today and tomorrow are two of the best days to enjoy the view from Growlers. Thanks to the bike race there is no parking along the esplanade in front of Growlers. But everything has a positive. Peaceful breakfast, lunch or Dinner with no cars out front. This doesnt happen very often. So park a street back, walk around, enjoy the serenity (love The Castle) and of course a few bevies.

07.01.2022 Can anyone please tell me, how these two points, from the State Governments, step two in the road map out, makes sense. Totally inconsistent. Very happy for retail, hairdressers etc, to be partly reopening, with density restrictions and social distancing. ... But how on earth, does this leave the hospitality sector at Takeaway and delivery only. When this sector is one of the most highly regulated of all. Jobkeeper 2 , will not save us. Or many other small businesses. Bloody frustrating and heartbreaking to see so many family businesses in this position. Good luck to everyone in a similar position, we truly hope you all make it through.
