23.01.2022 Hi everyone, an update on what I am and am not allowed to do. Unfortunately it's not good at all. After 3 hrs on hold I finally got through to Business Victoria. After going through all the questions these are the restrictions as far as property maintenance is concerned.... As of Wednesday midnight all work on residential properties must stop unless it is a needed emergency repair (burst water, damaged roof etc.) All work on commercial sites must also stop as of Wednesday midnight unless that work is for the safety of a place of essential work (school, hospital, police station etc.) I questioned about booked works up until the 17th but was told this is also only for places of essential work even though the wording was extremely vague and badly done. So unfortunately this means I must stop all works until stage 4 restrictions are removed. If there is a change i will let everyone know but my hands are tied at this stage. I've tried to get an exemption but was told no exception will be made for residential properties. I hope you all understand and stay safe. I'll talk to you all on the other side! 18.01.2022 Off on Holidays. Glad to be out of Melbourne and visiting country Victoria for the first time in pretty much 12 months. Back on the tools sometime in Jan 2021. Have a great Christmas and new years.

13.01.2022 No mowing/gardening company is above the law. All residential work unless it is an emergency must stop. If you are seeing a franchise mowing your neighbors lawn its not an essential service. You can call 131444 to report them. These big companies are just looking to steal the clients and livelihoods of those doing the right thing. While sole traders like my self have shut down some are saying they will continue no matter the law just to make sure we can't start up again. Th...eir actions are going to make this lockdown go longer and endanger people lives. Please share!

12.01.2022 Quite possibly this is be biggest garden clean up I have attempted. Today I made it half-way down the side of the house.

05.01.2022 While the gardener is away the mice can play! Wondering what to do while your gardener can't attend to the lawn or garden?? Spring is coming. Great time to get those spring flowering bulbs in. Fertilize your roses and other plants.... Fertilize the grass so when your gardener is allowed back he has 10ft of grass to mow! You may notice your fruit tree buds swelling or flowering already. Give them some fruit tree fert for a spring boost. Weed if you can. But most of all spend some time outside in the fresh air and enjoy the peace and quiet that gardening brings. And don't forget to call your gardener to come back the moment this lock down ends. He will definately appreciate your loyalty. See more

03.01.2022 This is simular to the idea that I am currently working on As Grown From the Ground Up Gardens. The idea is overcoming anxiety, the feeling of being overwhelmed, giving support, growing comunity and relationship. More information will come as I continue to work on how this will look.
