20.01.2022 Today is R U OK? Day. R U OK? is a not for profit organisation founded in 2009 with a vision of a world where we are all connected and are protected from suicide, as well as encouraging and equipping everyone to regularly and meaningfully ask are you ok?. At Story House Early Learning, we continue to work with our services to focus on promoting and supporting kindness, mental health and wellbeing for everyone within our Story House Family and beyond so please take the opportunity to check in with and look after someone. If you have a nagging feeling that someone you know or care about isn’t behaving as they normally would, trust your instinct and act on it. #ruok #mentalhealth #beyondblue

09.01.2022 This week we look to place the spotlight on National Child Protection Week, with the theme. "Putting children first". NAPCAN - Play Your Part invite all Australians to look at how they can prioritise children in their lives and communities and to engage in National Child Protection Week as individuals, and as part of families, organisations, communities and society. Putting children first means prioritising the safety and wellbeing of children. To grow up well children need to feel safe and loved, have a chance to play and explore, have a say in decisions that affect them, and access to essential things like food, shelter and healthcare. #childrights #childprotection

05.01.2022 The day you send your little ones to ‘big’ school is a HUGE deal for any parent. How do you know if they’re ready? Will they cope with the rigours of full-time formal schooling? How soon should you start preparing them? How can you make it easier on them and you?... In this special masterclass, parenting educators Maggie Dent and Dr Kaylene Henderson come together to equip parents with some essential tools in getting their kids ready to start school and to do well when they get there. http://ow.ly/5nVm50BKsut
