23.01.2022 Due to a cancellation, I have a holiday session available this afternoon. This can be very helpful for year 11 & 12 students who need a dedicated time and space to catch up on assignments, get some help with a task theyre struggling with or even for accountability to get the work done. 20.01.2022 What a disruptive time this past term or so has been for students and their families. How did your family manage learning at home? How was the transition back to school? If your children have found it difficult to pick up momentum with their studies, or are finding some content difficult, touch base with their teachers and make a plan for getting them back on track. Planning and breaking down tasks is a learnt skill, and often our children need us to show them how. If youd like to chat more about having a bit more support, feel free to get in contact!

Have you spoken to your children about what they are feeling at the moment? How have you approached the conversation? Big feelings make learning, and many other things, difficult. If you havent yet, consider starting these conversations with your children and dont be afraid if you havent got the answer for every question.

08.01.2022 Some of you may have noticed emails or bookings coming through at funny times. Thanks for your patience with this. As a mum, working from home with a little one, my days are often split between craft time and invoices, play dough and emails, music time and planning. It is certainly a juggle, but one that I love. I am grateful to work with families who show understanding and in many cases, are there themselves!

03.01.2022 Tutor tip: reading is one of the best ways to improve learning in not only language rich subjects, but all disciplines. Children learn from our example, so reading yourself as well as encouraging your children to read, can be a great way to build on learning. Bonus points for also discussing what youre reading!
